Coilover Install Price?
What's the typical cost to install coils? I have an E92 and am looking at KW V1's.

Really depends on the shop. High-end shops will typically charge $100 per hour and quote 4 hours plus alignment. I've also seen places that will charge $50 per hour. Overall time will be in the 3-4 hour range though plus alignment.

Not sure what it's like over there, but I'm surprised it's that high since stuff in the states is usually cheaper
![]() Over here, some reputable shops charge about $250 for kw installs. v1/v2. |

Im getting new wheels, tires and V3's installed by a local shop. They quoted me $950 for mount w/tpms, balance, alignment, coilover install and adjustment. I think its a fair price. I didnt buy crap parts so i want them handled with care. Could go to town fair tired but FCUK that SH!T. Went there once a loooong time ago and never again.

around $250 for a good shop, but it really does all depend on where you go. you also need to remember the car will need an alignment down the line once the suspension settles in (unless it is a used set).

If you have a decent set of tools, or know someone with tools, you can do it yourself in an afternoon (I've changed over two e90 suspensions so far). But if you don't have the means, I'd say that $200-$400 price sounds fair.
