JB4 install problem - Help!

Having a very very hard time getting #2 wire out. been trying to press on outer 'barb' but no avail. I think i may have also broken my flap? So confused. Anyone have suggestions?

Take the flap off. Then use a small flat head screwdriver to press the metal portion of the wire down and slide out.

ok. opening the flap worked and i was able to get #2 out. Granted, I did kind of break the flap a little bit.

2nd question - i inserted the red wire, but seeing as how the gold contact wire was a little 'frayed' from the prior owner, i dont see it going into the small hole on the top to make contact with the light green connector on the top. For reference, I removed the light green connector on the top in order to make it easier earlier removing #2 wire.

Is this a major problem? in the procede video it looked like the connector with the gold color contact didnt go all the way up either. I thought the red wire going into #2 had to go all the way up.

Any ideas?

sorry ive been working on this for 5 hours!!! there were some things that werent explained clearly in jerry's pdf instructions that i was able to use from the Procede instructions.

Just finish mine today in about a hour.. the wire was a issue until I looked at the one sent in the JB4.. push the arrow down and out it comes.. the flap did come off but went back on without issue.
