Oil change and spark plugs.
I am going to be going on a long road trip in late June with my son. I have just about 20,000 on a 2010 E92/N54. I was going to do an oil change at 22,500, but decided to go ahead and do it before I leave whatever the mileage. Would it be a good idea to change plugs, and is there any other routine maint. that I should perform?
I am driveing to Yellowstone and Glacier Nat. parks from So Cal. Figure about 2,700 miles all told in a couple of weeks. |

no reason to change plugs.. unless you are heavily modded, then maybe. give the air filter a peek too.

I have a DCI, but a visual inspeciton reveals the filters are clean. Looked at a K&N website, and they claim cleaning is warranted at 50,000 miles.

That's way too long, you need to soak, clean and re-oil every 10k miles. I do it more but I would def. reccommend atleast every 10k.

OK, I got a K&N cleaning kit, and I will get the oil changed prior to my departure. Anything else that I should service, replace or check?

Actually...i just had a blowout on my right rear tire. PLEEEASE check your tires before you leave. That was a costly mistake. I tried to get more miles than I should have outta them. I wont make the mistake again, it was a 500 dollar one!
