Problem had nothing to do with OSS in the end, I had bad ballasts and adaptive control modules, once I replaced those everything was good to go!

EDIT: SUMMARY - Bought a set of Used Oss headlight and had trouble getting the xenons to work, contacted Luis who was VERY prompt in his replies and personally called me when I was free even though it wasn't his business hours and spent time to troubleshoot with me. The problem had nothing to do with the angel eyes, the adaptive control module or whatever it's called and the ballasts were broken, once I put the new ones everything worked perfectly and all the errors went away.

Was very impressed with the Customer Service, even though I never bought the lights from him and even though the problem was with BMW parts and nothing that the OSS headlights tinker with... he still was very willing to help and he definitely knows his stuff.

Highly recommend the product .... outside of the excellent customer service these are just simply STUNNING... my mom who didn't notice M3 sides a new front bumper and an interior LED kit noticed my OSS angel eyes right away.... that should tell you something haha.

So I purchased a set of headlights with OSS angel eyes pre-installed from a member and just installed them on Friday. The install went smooth and was fairly easy, however after turning on the lights I noticed that the drivers side D1S will not work. I quickly popped the d1s bulb back into my OEM headlights and it worked just fine. The passenger side light is working just perfectly.

So after hours and hours of trouble shooting these are the results:

1) When I unplug the passenger headlight, the d1s bulb on the drivers side starts working… then when I replug the passenger headlight and shut off the car and wait a couple minutes then restart the car, the drivers side d1s stops working again. I also have a bunch of bulb out and adaptive headlight errors on the dash.

2) Tried a new ballast, it had no effect

3) If I put the d1s bulb into my oem headlight and plug it in… then unplug it, remove the d1s bulb and put it into my OSS headlight and re-install the oss headlight… the d1s bulb will now work in the oss headlight the first time I turn the car on… after I shut the car off and wait 5 minutes and turn it on again, the d1s bulb will no longer work

4) My foglights will not shut off in the auto position when the oss drivers headlight is installed

5) If I return the car back to stock all the errors go away and everything functions just fine.

Wondering what this could be… I was thinking maybe the headlights were already busted before I got them…. But then why does the drivers side headlight work when I unplug the passenger side? Could it have something to do with coding?

This is all on a 2007 early build e92 335i.

Side Note 1: when the drivers side d1s does turn on it doesn’t do so right away, it takes about 20 seconds then slowly turns on while making a high pitched mechanical sound.

Side Note 2: The green light beside my headlight switch is blinking.

Hmmm. Sounds like they were damaged from before. The angel circuit is totally separate from the ballasts for the d1S or the adaptive circuitry so theres no relation. But it feels like you have a short happening somewhere. Contact me thru email: sales@ossdesigns.com.

Lets go back and forth and help you diagnose things and see if we can get to the bottom of it.

Luis's support is second to none. There is simply no reason whatsoever to go with any other LED angel solution. Luis and OSS FTW!

Appreciate the quick response luis! I've contacted you with my phone # you can either call me or send me an email with possible instructions on what to do. I've spent 2 days troubleshooting them and don't mind spending a couple more haha, my hands are all cutup from scraping against stuff when getting the headlights in and out.

I must say though, these OSS headlights are simply stunning.... the pictures on this forum do them absolutely noooooo justice... I couldn't believe how friggen amazing these look... they are A MUSST DO upgrade, they are worth every $$, made my car look like a whooole new car, all my other angel eye upgrades I did look like a light from the 1980's compared to the OSS

I've had my OSS for quite some time now- let me tell you, no matter how many times I see them, I fall in love all over again. Enjoy them, and trust me- Luis will make things right.

Everything was fine from the get go in terms of the OSS angel eyes and their whole side of things. I just had bad internals shipped to me on the xenon side of the headlight, swapped those parts and everything's working fine now.
