Drop in Filter... any measured comparisions vs stock?

Did some searching and found a bunch of threads on CAI vs Stock vs DCI, but wasn't able to find much in the way of measurable results of a drop in filter vs stock. Anyone find a measurable difference with a drop in?

Garage List
i had one before and it does make the car breathe better. no noticeable power gains (at least not through butt dyno). there is definitely a louder induction noise. a "sucking", "wooshing" noise can be heard when car is under load; part throttle.

power gains are extremely minimal, you would buy this so the car can breathe better and for a slight sound increase.

DCI just takes the sound to a whole new level.

I did a before and after dyno with the stock filter, k&n and then no filter and there no major advantage to the k &n over stock. It gaind a couple hp in some areas and lost in others. I put that down to normal variations between runs.

No filter gave me a decent bump up top. On an avg of 7 to 9 hp but the powwr curve became wavy. Obviously imo its not worth it. Since i had the k &n i just left it in.

Since I'm not interested in adding anything on the sound side and am just looking for power gains, I guess I'll just keep the stock filter really clean with my shop vac until I can figure out what CAI to go with. The Mr 5. type DIY is looking temping for sure...
