New OEM Style DEPO Projector Headlights?!

I recently bought the DEPO90 Projector Headlights but was unsatisfied with the quality and the color of the lights. After more research, I found this product. http://www.cargym.com/bmw-3series-e9...ht-p-2031.html

They look a lot better than the depo90's and much more like the real OEM's but how come no one has ever mentioned these headlights on the forums?..

Is cargym.com reliable? If it is, I'm definitely thinking of upgrading to these instead. Any opinions?

Well...they're a new sponsor on e90post, so I suppose they must be legit. I'd say go for it if you like the look. Personally, I think you should get the DEPOs with the LCI turn signals and full LED angel eye rings--major stylistic improvement.

Here they are: http://www.bavarianx.com/DEPO_BMW_Pr...led.ae.pro.htm

EDIT: OK I feel kind of dumb, I just reread and saw that you have already purchased the DEPOs but are dissappointed with the light output. So the ones from Cargym are supposedly DEPOs, but I don't know. I think you should upgrade to the OEM Xenons if you want greater light output.

There were a bunch of these around for a while. They are all cheap knock offs, hence the ONE YEAR warranty.

yeah I also wish there was something better for us with halogens, coming from an e36, our lighting options seem much more limited.

Yeah I WOULD upgrade to OEM Xenons but I heard the whole process is a pain (retrofitting and all that) and its way much more expensive than the DEPOS.

But yeah, what do you think the quality of these Depos are compared with the Projector90's from bavarianx?

Well, the same to be honest. That is, unless you didn't buy the Projector90s the first time around. They're not as good as OEM, but they're OK. With halogen H7 bulbs, they're pretty dismal though. You need a HID kit in the projector housings for sure. But if you don't want to spend OEM money, then the ones with the full LED rings and LCI style turn signals are a pretty darn good option.

ehhh i dont know about that. i spoke with a bmw parts department guy (to find out pricing for fun) and asked about upgrading to xenon and he said that unless money wasn't an option, it's a big hassle altogether. the labor, rewiring, parts cost, etc are not worth it and aftermarket options are better (yea surprised he gave me that answer) he also quoted me almost 1000 for just halogen headlights (about 430/headlight) so i can imagine the cost for parts + labor for wanting xenons PLUS ugprading the DRL's with Lux..

He told you that probably because he didn't want to do it Plenty of people have done it, and while it's not cheap, it's more than doable--not a hassle at all. And there's a thread on here (a honest thread) where someone reviewed the DEPOs (pretty much the ONLY aftermarket headlight option) and it's nowhere near as good as the BMW headlights. The pictures don't lie. The cutoff is bad, and it just looks awful. And $1000 for halogen headlights?? If you have halogen headlights on a pre-LCI vehicle, the LCI halogens are plug and play. No coding at all, just remove, plug, done. I believe it costs $600ish for a pair from Tischer (don't quote me on that though) so your dealership, in simple terms, sucks.
