How often do you clean your MAF sensor?

Just wondering how often everyone cleans it. I took mine out about 6 months ago and it was crazy dirty with about 50k miles.

In fact it was so dirty I don't think I cleaned it well enough. I might have to let it soak this weekend.

Wait whaaat? You managed to put 50K+ miles on an N55 motor? You must be driving quite a lot... N54 comes with TMAP and N55 comes with MAF

Well I know about the tmap but there was something near the throttle body that looked like a MAF. It had two screws holding it down, took it off and cleaned the dirty little thing.

If you look at the second diagram on this post it's #10.

I'll post a pic later today to show the crud that was on it.

Im going to assume he has an N54 from his previous post history (I could be totally wrong though). N54 has no MAF as others have stated...
