Had to put down our Greater Swiss Mountain Dog.

We're devastated. The kindest, most gentle soul you'd ever want to meet. I will miss you forever.

This is the hardest part of having pets. One just has to focus on all the good memories.

Very hard because you love them and they're your baby.

I remember my cat I had a while back. 14 years old and had to be euthanized because of lymphoma. I took him to the vet and when they were ready to take him I kissed him and handed him to the tech and left crying.

Next time my kitty will be euthanized at home, where she'll be comfortable, and not scared. And I'll know everything that will happen because I'll see it with my own eyes. Hard to watch but better for her and that's what matters.

Because he is a good dog, he will be waiting for you on the other side of the "Rainbow Bridge", for when your time comes.

Sorry for your loss, it is so difficult. We had to put down two dogs within 1 1/2 years of each other. It is so strange not to have them around. A little over a year ago we got our first replacement and just started to talk about another. Exciting and daunting at the same time.

When we lost our cat we got another one from the shelter the next day. Helps with the pain IMO because you have another pet right away to get involved with and make comfortable, etc. and you don't have to think about the one you just lost. Helps get your mind off of it for now. You can remember later when it doesn't hurt as much. No reason to dwell on it while it's painful.

That's exactly what we did when we lost our previous dog (Boxer/German Shepherd mix) that was also a rescue.

Winston saw me putting a seat cover in the M4 and thought he was going in the convertible, but it’s for tomorrow not today. Unfortunately he doesn’t understand the concept of tomorrow.

We have some from Orvis but the Orvis front seat cover doesn’t fit my car as well as I like (ok but not perfect). So I picked up one of these, which fits well but is not the same quality as Orvis:

Our long haired miniature dachshund needs a trim desperately,at the moment he looks like a full grown one and he's at 8 kilos!

Winston is one beautiful Cav! I hope his ears don't give him many problems, he's pretty young.
