It seems like front 10mm and rear 15mm is the go-to for stock wheels... sound right?

That seems to be the norm. I currently run 10mm up front and 20mm in the rear on my 330. 18x9.5 et40 square. 235/40 fitment was just about perfect. Got tired of the stretch look though. Now 245/40.

With my new tire setup the rear rubs the sidewall on big bumps (with -4° camber). Swapping to 10mm to align it properly and will go from there

Did the full Monty to make it purdy: Wet wash, ceramic wax, gummi pflege, interior detail and leather treatment. I try to do a deep clean like this twice a year and then just waterless wash it the rest of the time every few weeks. Roof racks go on tonight as I'm going to start riding mountain bikes more!

looks awesome strada!
i haven't water washed my cars in about 10 years and use a waterless cleaner that works incredibly well with no scratches or swirl marks - i commend you for saving water AND preventing water from entering areas of your car that can cause havoc.

i see you have some Griot's Garage product - they are based in Tacoma WA just across the bridge from where i live in Gig Harbor; have gone to car shows there and their pristine collection of vintage cars, their sales area is pristine and exemplary.

I'm an Optimum Man, so really like their waterless detailer spray. That's my go-to! But I park outside right where you see the car, so it gets a lot of environmental debris built up on on on it that really needs to be flushed off. I use as minimal water as possible and use Optimum's rinse-less wash/wax. Typically I use their spray wax which is amazing, but they were out of stock for a while and I tried out the Griot's. It's fine, but I do like the Optimum a little more.

well done - optimum looks like a great product.

i use meguiars exclusively and love their product - this is the waterless cleaner i use: https://www.meguiars.com/index.php/a...26-26-oz-spray

my crimson red paint had tons of clear coat damage from the PO....no compounds were aggressive enough to bring results so i wet-sanded using 3M 3000 grit wet/dry sandpaper; it took a total of appx 50 hours to address the clear coat issues; after the sandpaper process, i used meguiars m105 compound followed by meguiars ultimate compound followed by meguiars ultimate liquid wax (all of the meguiars products applied using a dual action rotary buffer: https://www.meguiars.com/professiona...2-32-oz-liquid

Wow that red really pops.

Finished the Oyster Sport Seat retrofit today rewiring for lumbar/bolsters was very easy. Also sold off all my base seats. One set will live on in an VW bus, the other in a Saab 9-3

Now I really need to get a full set of the brushed aluminum trim pieces. That looks great! I have the driver vent trim so far. Only a few more to go!

I've done it before, it will look like crap so don't be scared, the end result is amazing. I'd try a buffer with a more abrasive pad before wet sanding and do wet sand as last resort.

It's my sons car. Whenever possible I let him do the repairs.

Plus I'm not superstitious.

Late reply I know. I've been on ice for 2 weeks. Literally working in a warehouse sized freezer 12 hours a day in Salinas Ca.

We were commissioning 8 robotic palletizing systems in the warehouse. I prefer to not be in a cold place.

And yes been to Laguna. Last time was world superbike in 2016. We camped there looking right at the corkscrew. A friend of mine had a permanent campsite reservation for that event. I believe he's since let it go.

awesome - this work you're doing sounds very intriguing.

so great you've been to laguna seca - and for world superbike - wow!

WAY back in the day, (early 90's) i saw the FIM 500cc 2 stroke GP factory bikes ridden by wayne rainey, kevin schwantz, mick doohan, etc....it was incredible; went to indy car there as well.

It's two mounts I conjoined:

This is the base https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08CBTKGWH?th=1 and I took off the magnetic mount, adding this holder to it
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BSFJ24ZH/

Works great, but rattles if you don't have a phone in it.

The base part is a little bit time consuming to install as you need to screw in four really small grub screws. But once it's on it's great. Blocks door lock and hazard buttons which I don't like, but that's the only downside.

Rennsport has another good mount, but I didn't know about it at the time: https://www.rennline.com/exactfit-ma...t-sku-pm01-56/
