Thanks! I have a love hate relationship with that camera. It has awesome image quality, but the menus and controls can drive me nuts! The latest firmware helped a very slow auto focus to make it tolerable, but it is still temperamental. If you are just taking shots of things that don't move, it's great, and its pretty small compared to anything else I have.

Also, I won't lie, I bought it because it also looks really cool

hehe, nice. When I played with the Fujis, their menu also drove me nuts. Perhaps it's just a matter of getting used to it.

Thanks. I was actually quite a bit away from them. The 400 5.6 makes a great bug hunting lens. Lots of distance between me and the crawly things. Gives some nice separation and bokeh, too.

If you click on the image it'll take you to Flickr where there's a series showing it running away.

Yeah, I love doing the same thing with my 500/f4 and the 2.0X TC-III and a 25mm ET. You work 10 to 12-feet away and fill the viewfinder.

Thought this was cool when I saw it - a rainbow had started and broken off with a cloud in the middle, then continued in another cloud or a patch of rain...

With that huge lens I bet she was unnerved.

This is an 80+ % crop of an image I shot this weekend with the EOS-M and 22mm. (Reduced in size to fit here.) This tree frog is about a half inch in length.

It's still getting used to everything. A large person and a large lens probably did raise the fright level substantially.

I agree, the menu system is kind of annoying, but once you set the convenience buttons to more useful functions (e.g. the raw button can be customized to something else + the fn setting button -- i made those into my ISO and ND filter buttons) you have a pretty easy to use camera.

Pseudo-macro shot with 6D, 135L, and stacked 12mm and 25mm extension tubes. This is about a 100% crop from the center.

Thanks. They took some work to recover from being blown out. Tough to shoot red flowers in direct sunlight.

Lots of fawns around this time of year. Little raccoons, too.

Nice shots guys, the macro has nice detail but yeah direct sunlight is rough on any flower, especially red. I love shooting them at in the morning, on an overcast day or under some shade during a bright day.

The capture of the little fawn is wonderful, I wish I had easy access to see animals like this roaming free.
