Happened to me to. With less than 10k miles they started misfiring. Looked exactly like yours. I’m just so happy the electrode welds didn’t break and take out my motor.

Now I always buy plugs from reputable sources only. My counterfeit ones were from Amazon.

Go to rockauto for cheap and guaranteed good.

Found a 2009 BMW 328 in Wisconsin. Cars got 110k miles. The owner has had the car since 2012. OFHG replaced, VCG replaced, Water pump replaced. OPG is not leaking per BMW dealership. The owner is asking $5k.
Do it! OFHG + VCG + H20 pump are pretty much your major items. Make sure the belt/tensioner were done at the same time. Do a trans service, and it's good go go for the next ten years!

Oh yeah, it sounds like a done deal!!! I LOVE buying a car that's been well maintained! Much more important than low mileage, but extra nice when you can get both!

MMF, transmission service, then it's just regular wear and tear any car would have (tires, brakes, struts, windshield, etc). Hopefully not too much rust/corrosion on the underside.

Ehhhhh if the trans seems to shift fine, I'll let it be. Don't wanna touch trans fluid at 110k miles

Nope... old ones. Going to take an ohm meter to them and check the resistance since they all burnt down at different rates.

Made some good progress on an 8hp45 swap for my ‘11 335i xdrive. Trans is in place. Waiting on some steel bellhousing bolts to get get rid of the PITA aluminum ones. The Cantcu and the 8hp shifter are wired. Excited to finally get rid of the absolute slushbox that is the 6hp21.

These 8hp swaps are popping up left and right. I want one! Perhaps in the far future when I can swap in a built LS I will. Good stuff cmbe92guy

From the videos I've seen, it's because the resistance is all over the place in the set.

Yesterday I installed my custom gauge faces, took awhile to troubleshoot custom values to get everything lined up. Most of it is good, just need to adjust the tach a little more.

My main complaint is I should have added markers for 5mph increments. Didn't think anything of it till I started driving. Oh well! At least its symmetrical to the tach.

Daytime pics coming soon

Argh I haven't thought about counterfeit spark plugs. I ordered new NGK spark plugs from e-acca and I never tested them before they were put in the car.

Ever since the spark plugs and coils were changed, I got 2-3l/100 km worse fuel economy and I never figured out why. I guess I need to pull them out and test them

Got tired of the gaps so I switched out the m3 style side skirts back for my OE ones and finally put these babies on

Real custom forged carbon 'BMW Performance' door sills

I'll get some better photos when I get the cf side skirt extensions on

Here's Mucalinda exploring them

Replacing the CIC hard disk tonight. It’s been rebooting on its own lately. Suspect bad sectors.

Also, here’s a shot of the Euro tail lights - subtle difference, but hardly Altezza style lights!

CIC disk replacement completed (read and write speeds are super slow. Averaged 79Mb/sec to make the image, 25 Mb/sec to copy the image to a new disk). Bought a NOS Toshiba MK8050GAC disk as the replacement drive - wanted something rated for automotive use. All works well.

Made the image on my old iMac running OS X 10.13.6. Used the dd command. Not too bad, happy to walk others through it. Just took a REALLY long time.

Trans fluid in process of draining.

Here are my cribbings. They put 9" under the tires. If I switch out the top section for the one leaning against the garage door it's 12". Put it all together and I get 15".

I picked it up after having the clear coat failure fixed, the hood, roof and trunk lid were repainted. I took a camera with me and shot a few images on the way home at an abandoned school. I'm pretty happy with it and had them leave the 335 off the trunk lid. It looks like the Sport side skirts are the only thing missing in my Sport Package upgrade. The VMR 703's are on backorder and should arrive in March or April.

Thats intentional. I don't plan on going over 120 (or hardly above 80). I also find watching the speedo go up faster than normal amusing.

What's the going cost to get clear coat repair done? I need my front bumper and rear spoiler done. Also front fender, but I don't know if that's going to need painting or just CC. Just wondering approximate cost I'll be looking at. And I don't even know how to find a painter... Everyone around me is all about insurance repairs. There are some random people advertising on craigslist, I don't know what exists between those two extremes!
