I never PMed him telling him he did it wrong, I simply told him to check his installation methods. But he only wanted a refund. We have 100% fitment guarantee which means that if for some reason the fitment on the splitters is not correct, we will send a replacement pair. We have past customers that will support this. All he did was want his money back. The only reason I said that was because he put in quotes that I had referred to him as dumb and all this stuff. I simply explained that we have no way of knowing if he has no idea on how to install these, or if he's the designer of the M3 himself. We would never treat our customers with any type of disrespect, if you read closely you will see that at no moment we did so.

With respect to the mix up. You are right, and we have already taken necessary measures.

about to do my pre install
didnt have a chance to pickup betalink from bimmer but i got a 3m plastic and emblem adhesive from an autoparts store.

-3m plastic and emblem adhesive.. check
-masking tape.. check
-clamps.. check
-item for pressure on both sides.. check

I did a preliminary test fit and they were okay, but I did notice some areas that could use glue/pressure for the flush setting.

Im going to do another test fit with the screw applied to see the hold it gets with just tape/screws then ill decide about the glue although I think its going to be pretty necessary.

Kinda shakey about using this 3m adhesive especially with the climate, anyone else use products other then betalink for similar installs?

Most likely not going to proceed with the 3m glue+tape+screws if im not 100% confident after a car wash.

post test fit notes:

passenger side fits a bit better then drivers side.
drivers side can be made more flush with glue easily

going to be an easy install, im doing it tomrorow most likely.
anyone have any comments about using an adhesive other then betalink?

It is now Tuesday, and nothing. Tomorrow is a holiday, so I GUESS i'll expect these on Thur., Fri. or Sat. Perhaps next week?

He forgot to pay his dues for being a member. It's a common thing, some vendors forget but usually it takes a few days for everything to clear up.

Guys - give him a break! If you have not talked with him before, don't judge him too harshly. It's understanderable that longer delivery times are furstrating, but since this is is not his primary business, he's trying to get things right before sending out stuff that doesn't work. I'm sure that he will answer all PM's like he has in the past - be patient.

Oh I AM patient. I'm a very patient person in general and I give people the benefit of the doubt.

Have you read what has been going on with this GB? I assume you haven't so let me bring you up to speed.

The splitters are ready and some have been shipped out. Originally, they were shipped out around the 19th, however there were a few of us that didn't get them due to a mishap in shipping (new employee shipped them incorrectly). They were resent out this past Friday, and it's now Tuesday with no luck. Plus it was shipped USPS priority mail (2 -3 days)

I'm sure Bav QC'd the products to the best of his ability, but 3months for a group buy is pretty long IMO. I'm sure his products are great, but CS is the other half to make the client happy. At least to me it is.

Sigh I'll wait until the EOW to see how this pans out.

Bav - Sorry I'm just a little frustrated, and I hope you can understand our concern.

I'll share my POV here as well, both evo119 and I have been patient, but when a vender ship out wrong or mixed up an order, the customer will usually receive the wrong part, I have not receive anything yet. When Bav PM me last week about the mixed up, he re-assure me the reshipment will arrive on Monday or today, still nothing and no response from him. That is why I'm a bit frustrated, but still patient And yes I did ordered the CF splitters.

Just for ref. my 1st tracking # was 9101150134711886809111, never receive another tracking # from Bav.

"excuse me sir but all our splitters are tested for fitment before they are shipped. I am not so sure as to how well you might have installed them. Remember you are suppose to remove the last two screws on each outer edge of the bumper to fasten them. Please try again, thank you."

If these were tested, sure they fit in place, but won't stay there without some form of permanent sealant.
Double sided tape was a joke.
Since others reported double stick tape didn't work as well, I wasn't going to mess with another pair, it's obvious it needs more and that's not acceptable to me.

My CF splitters off ebay fit so well, I didn't even use tape.

30% restocking fee......... atta way to take care of your customers.

Sir, please understand that CF is a stiff material and has no elasticity, our CF splitters also fit like this. With polyurethane, the material is a bit flexible. I offered you a replacement but you are not interested in it at all, that's my fitment guarantee, I will replace them for you to your liking. People follow procedures when this happens, they all cooperate and take pictures and send them and what not. Please do so, this helps us with our QC and also enhances the credibility of your claim. It is simply the way things are done. Let's try and get to a place where we can both agree on something. Thanks.
