I had to sell my M3 yesterday , but bought an 09 LCI 335i. I chose getting the LCI with the newer IDrive over an '08 that had the oil cooler.
I was reading I can still put the COBB on if I keep it reasonable, even without the oil cooler. If anyone has input, that would be cool.
i am an love it. I would recommend it over any of the piggys.

Thanks much. I bought a jb+ for 115 an hour after I got the car home. Had to drown my sorrow in giving up the M3 for buying a quick tune an the BT Cable. Then I read about the COBB, so looking for the best deal.

Hey, if you know anyone that needs 2 M3 PS2's, I have a set I need to sell. They have 9/32 on them and I'm letting them go for cheap. TUNE money.

Thx for the input

I know Cobb is the flavor of the day and I'm sure that they are fine, but some of us have been running Eurocharged for a few years now with good results and zero problems. Plus they have a local guy....

Mark - yes...no reason to change.

Ry - I have no friggin clue. I'll try and find my dynos from when I first got stage 2.

All I'm saying is that its been a fine tune for my needs and I've not suffered any mechanical issues as a result. The reality is I think we tend to split hairs when it comes to Cobb/EC/GIAC.

I'll research Eurocharged before I pull the trigger on Cobb then. Assume it's similar in how to install & remove? No oil-cooler for me, so I have to keep it reasonable. The Cobb will do that for me as does the JB+, but really looking for a more linear and refined tune.

Yea, i generally dont speak to which of these is better, as I have only tried one.

From what I have researched on here, I feel that GIAC is the best option at this time for tunes, but that is due to the limited info on EC. I would love to try them out first hand.

For EC they do sell a hand held unit to flash/reflash/bring back to stock if you like. I don't have it and have never needed it even when I was under warranty.

I also do not have an oil cooler, which is why I am stuck at stage 2 instead of going to 3. Again, no issues.

Yep, James, EC could do a much better job of marketing to E9x drivers. That may be intentional however as E9x drivers tend to be cheap ass whiney bastards who want everything but don't have the bankroll to pay for it. Not saying that about anybody here, but that is the impression I get from talking to vendors. Its like there is a large contingent of owners who were formerly Civic/wrx/mitsu owners who are used to inexpensive mods and/or younger owner who don't have alot of $ yet.
