Yeah, the cam timing definitely needs adjustment! It might take a couple rounds of adjustment/dyno to get it right.
Definitely start with the manufacturer's reccomended setting - but I'd err on the side of retarding it a bit more, because you can always advance it, but the stock tune already maxes out how retarded you can be and that's where you'll see top end gains. |

I'm sure that's what he's saying. There is more room for using the DME to advance the cams, so installing them retarded a few degrees (since the current map settings have them maxed out) would allow for more top end power.

Yeah but we know why now. Between mechanically retarding the intake cam and correcting the plant model parameters for the cams in the DME rom we'll see what it can really do. Science experiments are kinda like this...but they're still a pita. Come to think of it so are science experiments...
