That's just it. I've read the same but at what whp / wtq over dci's? If it's just 20 or less I see no benefit compared to the hassle/cost

Well, you can also run MaxBoost, which requires inlets. My problem is the install -- beyond my DIY comfort zone and too time consuming in any event. A shop install would probably be more than the cost of the inlets (assuming you can find a shop that can/will do them).

Yup i know hoods are not the same but both vents around the same area. A little dampness on the cones are not going to do anything!

Water injection!!!

Stock turbos E85 mix, RB inlets. Previous dyno is with MMP inlets, boost level was changed so not a direct back to back comparison.

Have you all tried to reach out to Rob @ RB Turbos? I have a set of Super RB Evos coming in. The filter on the kit have a guard over the cone. It have a dual inlet, but not sure if it'll fit whatever inlet kit you all looking at purchasing. Might be worth a try. I also have a vented hood. A little water wouldn't hurt anything. I've drove through a few down pours without any issues. You're good as long as the cones doesn't get submerged or soaked in water.

Like u said, unless submerged it wouldnt really bother much. I think that cover you posted also blocks air

How do you figure that? Cool air comes into the engine bay via the front of the car. Unless you have a hood scoop over the intake, that cover wouldn't block any air flow.
