Obviously the participation fee goes to a charity of some sort.
Uhhh, thanks

Although, I wouldn't trust any of you freaks with addresses either

Wait, are you guys actually willing to share addresses? Or is this going to be amongst 5 people

A bit busy right now, but let's try and make this happen.
One detail down. You've got the means to accept money from people who don't have a paypal account. I trust you to hold the cash, i would imagine most others would as well. I only suggested Bimmette because i'm pretty sure everyone here trusts her with their money and addresses.

One of the reasons i gravitated towards the Secret Santa is because of participation. Take the Halloween contest for instance. 10 submissions. 88 votes, but 2 submissions got 75% of the votes and one of those was a joke. Jake from State Farm was a fantastic idea, not a single vote. In my opinion, there isn't a lot of incentive to participate in a contest where the winner is decided by BP user votes.

With Secret Santa, everyone who participates gets some action. Sure there will be some inequities, but as you stated, the point of participation is to help those in need.

As Biorin pointed out, hopping on Amazon and picking up a gift, having it shipped directly is a pretty easy and simple endeavor.

I did a Secret Santa in a gun forum last year. It was pretty easy. One person facilitated.

You PM them your name, address, shirt size, and a description of the things your interested in. Once, say... Dec 10th rolls around the person facilitating draws from a bowl to decide who gets who. They PM the person their gift recipient's original PM with Name, address, etc... and it's self automated from that point on.

Once the gifts start arriving members post pictures of what they received and hilarity/love fest ensues. (depending on how funny or thoughtful the gifts were)

I'm down for whatever and will do my best to participate in whatever is decided upon. However i do think we'd get a better participation rate if everyone participating gets something in return other than the satisfaction of helping people in need.

I for one am ok with Lups choosing the charity, even multiple charities and percentage in which they get divided between.

With regards to participation i could see getting maybe 20 participants. At $10 that's $200, I'll match what ever the "entry fees" are. That's $400, if someone else with match the entry fees, that's $600 and Biorin will match at least double what we put in. That's another $400 brining the total donated to $1,000....... Lups , how far will that go with your "go to" charities?

Not bad for a bunch of douchebags driving BMWs and a stray Range Rover. lol

Hahaha, in goats its over 20, in vaccinations its even more, it gives a profession for 6 kids in a third world country, and it can save a shelter spot for at less one person for a year.

I would like to nominate one charity called "Help Mr.Prena out of poverty" donation.
It will have go fund me, paypal, and etc set up. I do not have non-profit org set up, so no tax deduction.
