Just following up with the thread. I've had these on my 335d for over 4 months and they are still running strong. No problems, no heating issues, no yellowing issues, and they are bright as hell!

And this doesn't apply to you guys' E92s, but I have seen LEDs actually causing burnt/melt the back of the fiber optic ring as well. It's one of the big name brand, but because I don't exactly remember which it was, I won't say it. Quote:

UPDATE:
After running these HIDs for almost two years, I decided it was time to upgrade to some real LEDs and black out the chrome. I can confirm that these lights can handle HIDs without ANY discoloration or deterioration. The photos I below are after 21 months and roughly 30k miles of HID angel eye use.

I just picked up a 335 and the one angel eyes was only half lit. When I went to take a look the tube was clogged with bubbles and brown and yellow, like it was burnt.
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=890771 general conensus was that someone had HID angel eyes in the car before me.

I've been looking for this thread for the past few days because I was trying to figure out how to bypass the light check for my HID ae. Rotary Rasp, could you tell me which type if cable I would need and software in order for me to do this? I have no experience with coding, hopefully this isn't too hard. Thanks

Need a little help coding these. I have an 08/06 build E92 and I tried to follow braveplayer's instructions since he has an FRM vehicle as well. The problem i'm encountering is that after i select CAS and search for the NFRM module is isn't there. Also there isn't anything that starts with NFRM under the 'change job' menu. Help!

This seems like an awesome way to get some quality HIDs installed for AE's.
When everyone here is talking about coding the FRM are they using ISTA/P or can it be done using a more basic program like BMWhats app? I would like to try this using Morimoto H8 HID's since they seem to be very good quality and UV filtered |
