doba_s: Based on our last conversation, we had assumed you knew we were taking care of your issues by getting a new set of reflectors shipped to exchange. Your reflectors were completed today as well as those for the other outstanding members having issues with jet black. We missed the shipping cut off by about 10 minutes but will get tracking out when we get to the office tomorrow.

Bad news is that while the jet blacks came out amazing, flat blacks had some chips and we would not accept them. Montego blue will be finished tomorrow. I had a sit down with the body shop owner and he did not realize the severity of the issues they have been compounding upon in the recent week. We expect remaining grilles to ship by Friday.

For those that we have been in contact directly either via PM or email, please note this change in ETA.

We have no excuse for these delays and for future painted parts we have hired a painter and will be doing the items on site.

orientblue3- The reason we have not jumped into GB #4 is to take care of customers that have already paid and are awaiting product. We will have the 4th GB in the next week or so, please bare with us.

Just to clarify, the quality issues we had were isolated to reflectors with the exception of ONE AW. That actually was the first alpine white we had ever had an issue with.

The one big issue I personally have is this continued delay which is unexcusable. The only thing I can say is we are working hard to find a new method to handle such large painted orders.

Thanks for the update. So you strip the chrome off completely on the grilles before paint? I want to avoid chipping and having the chrome shine through. Would that be an issue with these?

We are NOT going to start another GB until we take care of current customers as stated previously. GB take time which is why there is a discount involved. We have Gloss black grilles painted and in stock if you MUST have them now.

I was trying to just get a response from you like everyone else. Seems like you guys dropped off the face of the Earth after the QC issues popped up with no responses in this thread or to customers e-mails. All I was doing was following up on your promised GB dates in which GB IV never showed up. So I was trying to figure out the status. Sometimes it takes annoying someone to get a response. Obviously it worked. As of last week you were the only game in town and had people wanting to throw money at you just for these things. Your lack of responses and ability to follow-through on your promises has lead me to look elsewhere. I already bought my grilles, but thanks though.

Boy, I haven't even read all the postings on this thread, but it sure seems to have gotten nasty. I am hoping to buy BS painted replacement grills for my E91, but there seems to be too much bad blood. How many people out there are happy with the product and way the transaction was handled? I don't want to start a fight, just looking for a good source of the parts for my car.

There is really not any bad blood. It seems that the last page of this GB has caused some concern for a numerous amount of people that were not part of the GB.

I do realize the above made posted came off somewhat rude but the last two posts were completely unrelated/unnecessary.

Just to clarify, I will tell it how it is:

We have shipped over 70 sets of our grilles without any issues. In this batch of orders, 2 reflector sets had minor issues. I really feel it was blown out of proportion as it is really not that big of a deal and we immediately shipped replacement reflectors to these individuals. How this became a reason to deem us as having quality issue, I have no clue.

I really would just ask reasonable potential customers to take a look at how many perfect sets we have shipped and how we handle problems. There is always issues arising especially with custom paint work.

Public posting of minute issues without contacting us really made us look as if we do not take care of customers and in fact that is the complete opposite.

I just wanted to say that it is the lack of your thread responses from you guys that has disgusted a lot of customers. even saying "HI" each day on this thread will at least give the customers confidence that you guys are THERE and handling on the situation. But when you guys go MIA for a week on end, it concerns a lot of people and that is where you lost my future businesses too.

I understand your point but from our perspective/experience we felt posting without a solid update would cause more reason for concern. From our experience with GBs, we have had the reverse feedback when we posted too often without a solid answer. We bring grilles to paint and check daily for an update. If nothing has changed, we do not see that as an update. In our defense, the only times we have not posted were on weekends when we are sometimes closed depending on the racing season. We are available almost 24/7 with email response.

Another point I would like to make is that we are trying to offer e90 post members with a custom painted product made to order for an extremely reasonable price with OEM products and quality- not the norm. I feel ya on the bad taste left in your mouth and your comments have been noted. If we can do anything to take care of you, let us know!
