You should have waited for the sp4s I think they would look good on a e9x.

Not a fan of that design. I would get SP3s or Meisters before those.

Need help with suspension components now. I have BC Coils and I'm looking into Swift springs or Hyperco springs as GabeS suggested. I figured 18k fronts and 28k rears as recommended by Tee.

My question is what length do I go with now? I measured my stock setup and they're 6.5" Fronts and 9" rears with a 2.5" width. I'm thinking 6" and 8" to compensate for the lack of drop due to the higher rates.

HELP!

So on the subject of Hyperco, I found out they dont have 28k.. you will have to go with Swift.
just call them on the phone, ask for Leonard, he is the vice president and he is my friend.
office number: 909.393.8623. Tell him you are my friend.

Tee is on 5.5" fronts.(he drives a 335i though)
'
if you go with 6" fronts and 8" rears it should work fine!

I believe that's what I am on.. but I have an M3,
I am not sure if the 335i and M3 have different lengths.

Also remember, the car gets a lot more rattly when you start going very stiff.. In my case I have a vert..so everything gets louder and rattly.

I'm a 335i coupe too. I think Tee is LCI though. Thanks for the info, I'll call them when I'm ready to order.

What do most of you guys do for camber since the stock adjustment only allows approximately -3 degrees? And even then your toe is completely out of whack.

you can add camber adjustment plates. Places like ISC or others has them and work well.

Toe is not completely out of wack unless you don't get an alignment... so long as your toe is at 0 you will be fine.

I was unable to be within spec for toe while having approximately -3 degrees of camber in the rear.

I see a lot of guys running way more aggressive setups in here and with all the clearance issues I am having, I am just wondering what they are doing right!

when you say you were unable to be within spec... do you mean you did the work yourself??
or was it some incompetent big name alignement shop who gets paid $8 an hr and doesnt know a v6 from an inline 6?

those idiots whenever they see any mods on a car and they have trouble, they always blame your ride height or your mods...

tell them to first adjust the lower camber arm, by pulling the wheel all the way in, that'll reduce some of the camber, and then they adjust the upper camber arm, into whatever position you like.
next adjust toe.. if its still off just turn the entire bolt again and watch the toe setting(numbers) and stop when it is in the correct position....
.I literally had to tell the guy step by step how to do it and then he goes.."oh it worked now"....
fml...
pics of your fitment and wheel specs?

The shop I had my car aligned at specializes in aligning cars. He's no regular mechanic either. People come from all over to fine tune their race only cars.

My specs are 9.5f and 10.5r et22 all around. I am running a 225/35/19 front, and a 255/30/19 rear tire. (Hankook Ventus V12) I'm running -3.2 degrees with camber plates up front, and -2.7 rear keeping the toe in spec with stock components. Anything beyond that and the toe begins to get out of spec. I'm sure if I got toe arms I would be able to reach just over -3 while maintaining proper toe.

I never rub up front, and only occasionally in the rear. I would like to try and fine tune the back to eliminate all rubbing. Keep in mind I have had my rear quarters completely shaved already.

picture?
if you get arms, just go with ebay brand $100 toe arms and they also have $100 camber arms, if you arent drifting or time attacking you will be fine.
you will need another alignment after you install them, might be easier to have the shop isnatll them and align at the same time so you dont have to drive to the shop on a snakey ride...have them loosen every arm up first then do alignment, itll keep both sides even.
if they play around with your arms, they should be able to get both within spec.

FWIW, I am running -3.3 in the rear and I am at 0 toe. Dropped on ST coils with no other suspension mods. So, it's possible...
