fizzle how much you got saved. i have a great investment for you if you have a 90K lying around. Instead of buying NYC medallions you buy chicago taxi medallions. lease them out and get $550 a month. Every 2 years your rent goes up $200 a month. That means on a 90K investment within 10 years you should be receiving $1,500.00 a month. And you can keep adding them to your mini fleet. I have 5 so far. I want to buy at least another 5-10. But i bought mine when they were $45K 3 years ago. I should be picking some more up within a year or 2

Ugh I hate our 401k.... they dont break out what exactly the funds are invested in.... its made almost nothing in the past 6 months... at least im not losing... im invested in 50% international markets, 50% balanced growth fund

If you are looking to invest in companies:

Choose funds for starters, not individual stocks:

Throw some at Tech, why? Because it is over sold and cheap
Throw some at Energy, why? It is expensive and aint getting ant cheaper
Throw some at a fund that mirrors the S&P, why? In the long run it should always go up ~ 8% per year on average.
