Misfires with COBB is most likely due to a high boost misfire... this is fixed with plugs or injectors. I've had 2 friends with that exact problem. It's not a COBB thing... it's a high boost thing.

One is running COBB, the other the new Aggressive Procede maps. Both had the same behavior. Misfires around 4K rpm or so.

COBB what are the changes, boost levels, any change with timing. Maybe S1+ will hold more boost uptop than S2 ?!! with less timing...
Go into the dyno database on cobbs website. Put in BMW, then 535xi and there will only be one name you can click on Jason Gaboury. There is a stage 1+ dyno on his car. You can look at the details of the dyno run and see boost. Holds 16.5+ psi and tapers to 13.28 by 5800 rpms. Car dynoed at 327hp and 384 lbs of torque.

Just wanted to check in with you guys about AccessPORT updates. Has anyone been having issues? If so, we have a Beta version of AP Manager available. In your current version of AP Manger, just go to options, then Advanced, then checkmark the box for Check for beta AccessPORT Manager. Then click Update AccessPORT Manager.

Please let me know if you have been having update issues and if this works for you! As always, with any issues please shoot us a PM, call (866-922-3059), or email (tech@cobbtuning.com). Thanks!

Will this ask to re-create the backup of the ECU like the one for the Minis did because of a "different" way you're storing backups? Made my heart skip a beat when it told me my friend's backup was lost and it wouldn't be able to recover to stock..... except then it seems to have worked after all

Recommended Staging Route

Ok, here's my situation, I will have everything I need to go stage 2+ by the end of next week. However, I don't want to put everything on at once and want to feel the power gain of each stage for about a week each while also dynoing it after every part. My question is, which route to take?

Stg 1. Cobb, DCI --->Stg 1+FMIC --->Stg 2+DP....No Stg 2

or

Stg 1 Cobb, DCI --->Stg 2 DP ---->Stg 2+ FMIC.... No Stg 1+

My point is, no matter what route I take I'll miss a stage .

Stage 1--> get used to it--> stage 2+. That way you get the bump in power of stage one, and then you get the bump in power for stage 2.

Seems now with the latest AP update changing maps is much much faster than before!
would be great if COBB could include in the AP software a graphing software to open the logs in an easy way...

True, but I want to put it on the dyno after each part... so I can see what's gained from each part.

Uninstalled for an obligatory oil change at my dealer. Then reinstalled and updated the AP and flashed in Aggressive Stage 1. All is fine. Thanks.

If the numbers for the Stage 1 Aggressive are about 313/378 at the wheels, what does that translate to at the crank?
I'm sorry if this question has been asked already here. I did try to search but did not find the answer. I am reading the whole thread but I'm only on page 30.

Not a stupid question at all, but below is the math for it

2009 335i stock
-300hp / 300tq at the crank
-240hp / 273tq at the wheels

20%HP and 9%TQ from Dyno

2009 335i COBB Aggressive Stage 1
-313hp / 378tq at the wheels
-376hp / 413tq at the crank

Question guys. I'm running Cobb stage 2+ with FBO. I want to run meth but don't want to wait for cobb's race map so I bought a JB3 for cheap and am upgrading it to JB4. I want to use my Cobb for DD and the JB4 to control my meth. I know you can run the JB4 in bypass mode and run Cobb maps but can you run the JB4 and meth with the Cobb installed and on the stock like map, map 0?

I wouldn't mind giving this a shot for a couple of weeks until my DP's are delivered.

Cobb stage 2 hardware requires DCI or panel filter. Anyone run Stage 2 with something like an AFE panel filter? Does the software actually call for more air than the OEM can take in?

Car seems to build boost a litle quicker with the dci vs K&N Panel Filter. I've been running Stage 2 and just installed CP-E DCI a few days ago.
