Hanging out in London for a few days. Spirits at bars here are way more reasonably priced than in the U.S. Same price as a beer. No complaints from me.

...to my tequila crew, '42 is a nice change up if you want to add some flava, though Clase is still the best tasting...part of the 4th celebration with my drinkin' partner. hope you all enjoyed the holiday..

Was in Cooperstown this past weekend and stopped by Brewery Ommegang. Beautiful property and some nice limited release beers on tap.

Not a big liquor drinker, but enjoy a good Islay scotch. Currently have a Lagavulin bottle on the shelf.

Tasty IPA for lunch today. Sort of surprised to find a beer with this name and dedication in the UK.

Last night I was sipping a bit of the old Hornitos Anejo Black Barrel. Not bad for a daily.

Been sipping on 42 for about 15 years now. No one really touched it till meek rapped about it. Other than that some gold label, Oban old bay or macallan always hits the spot.

A tad off topic, but I figure folks here would know. How does Duty Free work coming into the U.S.? As we went through Heathrow this morning, I noticed some pretty sweet prices on some whiskeys. How does that work? You buy the booze and then carry it on the plane? Do you have to declare it at US Customs?

I just want to thank you for posting this as I'm heading to Italy at the end of August with layovers in Heathrow. I'll be sure to check the deals!

And to try and answer your question, when you buy liquor at Duty Free they will place it into a sealed plastic bag that you take on the plane with you. Some airlines require that it's given to the crew to pass out to you as you board.

Curious, did the price increase after it was mentioned in a rap song? That’s quite the stash, especially at $90-$100 per bottle.

Different airports do it differently. Some would give you the bottle in a sealed bag at the gate before you board. Some would just give that to you at cashier also in a sealed bag.

Some airports carry unique liquor that could be hard to find elsewhere. Value-wise, most of times are not cheaper.

I was flying back home last week and the DFS in HKG carries the new Hennessy XXO. Sales lady said it was just released few weeks ago and HKG is one of the very few place at the moment you can buy it and also lowest price.

Did not believe it and it was selling for around USD 550. Came home doing more researches and regretting not getting the bottle.
