Great time today! It was good to meet everyone and their wives / g/f, or kids with excellent car collections.

I think we had a pretty good turnout for a fairly short notice meet on a holiday weekend in the blazing heat! Well worth it though to see some beautiful well loved cars and meet some great folks from our forum.

I just wish Alex had parked further from me with his sweet E90 335i with the killer mods... suddenly I was like a red haired girl with braces! Just kidding - but that is one nice car!

We even had one of those little Mini Whatchamacallit things there too!

royal thanks for teaching me another minor detail about my car -- OEM alarm with moonroof cracked open doesn't activate alarm when locking (hence why i was getting a chrirp)

and early thanks to those that took pics, i can't wait to see them. (if possible please keep them at FULL resolution...i want to print/frame one!!)

matt... I was thinking about it on the way home and it clicked... I opened your trunk to get out the manual and figure out if there was a snag... the manual said that having the windows or moonroof open may disable the interior sensor... but I don't think that was the problem. I think it was the manual itself... or rather the fact that you had popped open your trunk when trying to activate the panic mode... and then the car saw the trunk being open and wouldn't chirp. If I hadn't reached in and gotten the manual out it might not be chirping still. so it's one or the other... but if it happens again check both

I'm editing photos right now. I am working under the assumption that anything outdoors is fair game, but the few of us at lunch I may send to folks upon request, since wives and kids were present, etc.

I too am looking forward to seeing some photos taken by others!!

Resolution and upload rules here require that I downsize them - but if anyone points out a favorite or two or three I'll be happy to send them full res.

I won't try to name the people in it - partly because I will get names wrong and make an ass of myself (oh, right - that horse left the barn ages ago) - but mostly because of privacy. Well, since I had the longest drive there, it figures I would have the longest drive home too...which explains why I'm posting this so late.

As all have said, it came off without a hitch and I think everyone enjoyed the time we spent together. My wife even had a good time which is important to us with better halves....that means we can do it again without gettting any atitude!

Can't wait to see those pics as well.

As an aside, those that remember there was another meet on Long Island today, organized by a guy who would have stopped Tom and his Mini at the entrance to the parking lot because he didn't want any of his precious photos ruined....here's a link to what their meet looked like:

ahhh, that makes more sennse! can't engage alarm with trunk open...that would make it to easy for car thieves. thanks again royal (and Dave)!
