E92william posted the step by step, bimmerlabs have step by step instructions too, there is this thread where other people are doing it, but you chose to use a different approach to it for some reason. Last edited by bsmoov; 12-18-2020 at 12:22 PM.. |

I downloaded the Bimmergeeks e60 Daten, it does not have 08MSV80.ipo!!!!!
I'm downloading the wildcatcrazy e60 Daten and I'll see if it has it. Update: That File isn't there! Also, could I just use any old 08MSV0.iop file from say an E70 or E90??? |

Hmmm...that's strange. I thought you downloaded it separately aside from bimmergeeks. I'm not sure if the .ipo files from an e70 or e90 would work as they might be chassis specific. Maybe someone else can confirm. EDIT: Did you import all of the .prg and .ipo files via P-SGBD and PABD in WinKFP? Last edited by bsmoov; 12-18-2020 at 02:04 PM.. |

Could I use 12msv80 .prg and .ipo files? Or is that not how it works.
Found a thread on this specific issue on the 1 series forum https://www.1addicts.com/forums/show....php?t=1649080 Last edited by matress; 12-18-2020 at 04:19 PM.. |

I'm a little confused.
You posted something that looks like you had a failed flash and now you think you have a missing IPO file. I'm pretty sure Winfkp would not even attempt flashing the DME with this file missing. Certainly would not report a successful flash. Do you have more to tell? |

No, I ran through the instructions just as they were written. The only reason I asked about PRG and IPO files is when I was consulting Step 4 again and noticed that the files matched in the WinKFP expert mode screenshot. I checked the daten files I loaded in to figure that out.

Okay, Sorry for bombing this thread. I'm a bit of a noob if you haven't noticed.
This the final boss I believe. Highlighted shows that the RSA delete script uses 12MSV80 just as Hass has apparently said. Glad that's been resolved. Now, the program seems to be getting hung up on the ECU address. View post on imgur.com Last edited by matress; 12-19-2020 at 01:06 AM.. |

I tired to run the RSA-delete a few more times after I cycled the battery on and off. Would anyone be able to help me out with this even after I've annoyed this boards to the high-heavens? |

You only need to do the RSA delete once. What’s happening now? Have you flashed the 330i tune yet?
When doing the RSA delete, it perfectly normal for the car to act a little crazy during the batch process. After you flashed the 330 software did you clear all codes using INPA afterwards? |

Question about testing DISA valves...
Can I test both small and large valve using the single connection for the outer valve? I'm looking to test some DISA valves I have, so I'm hoping that I can just unplug the connection from the outer valve that's easily accessible and run a test in INPA for both valves by llugging them into that connection. |

Yes, but the ecu is still in "recovery mode", the fuel pump is running and no crank.
https://www.e90post.com/forums/showt...ry+mode&page=2 I looked over this thread and learned that I may be able to resolve my issue by using WinKFP in comfort mode to knock it out of recovery mode. View post on imgur.com I think this error means that either

You may still have a problem with your set up. How long did it take to flash just the 330 tune? Should have been fast, like two minutes. Are you sure you have the correct options set up in Winfkp? You probably have not bricked your DME yet. It's still responding, You can try flashing both the program and calibration file using comfort mode. Make sure nothing interrupts the data transmission during the flash, don't shake the cables or go internet browsing on the laptop. Send a screen shot of your Winfkp setting. Don't worry about any Powerclass or coding yet. |

The files you want me to flash again is the RSA-delete one or one of the tune files I downloaded? When I click Comfort mode in Winkfp I only get the options to enter ZB number and VIN. Is there another version/installation of Winkfp I should be using? Or am I being instructed to move files into my C drive? View post on imgur.com These are my Winkfp settings, the same as screenshot on the help page. Last edited by matress; 12-20-2020 at 10:09 PM.. |

Seems like I jinxed myself regarding the cold starts and the Euro IAT. Had a -20*C overnight and went to to start the car this morning. Idle was all over the place and not happy. Seems like what some others have experienced. Car started fine on warmer days and even yesterday at -5* it was fine, but not so much when it gets really cold.
Swapped back to the MAF and maf-tune and it's all fine now. Not sure if the IAT sensor can fail, or if so how you can test it? I'm assuming it works fine as the car ran great up until really cold days. If anyone in warmer climates wants an IAT I'll consider selling mine, so shoot me a PM if anyone is interested. |

Merry Christmas everybody!!!
So I tested the car after 3IM. What can I say wow, it’s the most powerful hp gain that I have done yet on that car. An acceleration noticeable improved. Also on low and high RPMs car still kicking you into the seat. with PBX and map 3 it’s drives incredible for a 3.0 naturally aspirated engine. Hope IAT and catless headers also do their job. Also still waiting for Hass to clear if custom tune possible for my car. Hope he will answer shortly Any idea what I can do to gain more HP? P.S. not performance, but FYI I bought an AvinUSA android multimedia head unit with all accessories that can be installed, rear parking camera, front parking camera, dual dash DVR, car play, 4g, GPS, etc. Hope it arrives quickly, I will share my experience with that device |

Also forgot to notice I tested to run from 0 to 60 average based on 10 runs is 5.9 sec. Before 3IM it was 6.7
