Socks, you need to brush up on your panel beating skills mate. I agree with your opinion on how it looks with the scoop so what is your plan for over coming the problem? Different turbo or different/modified manifold.

Engine is coming out in April to do the manual conversion, so may replace the manifold but doing so will mean another DP and hot side charge pipe etc...
Bit of a major expense given how much we have sunk into it already

Either way I need to get a new hood. It is hail damaged, most of the bracing has been cut out or has come away and the paint work is covered in stone chips. That's why I'm not too worried about bashing it with a hammer and drilling holes in it to fit the dodgy scroop....

I should add that Ill get the new hood with a bump to clear the turbo, if we don't end up going the whole new manifold route

yep, I was planning to do something like that incase I run into the same problem as you. But luckily, the EWG 7670 clears the hood with less than an inch to spare
