Mizuno Wave Prophecy was my choice. I'd also suggest 3 other things. 1. Roll that IT band 2-3 times daily. Also use ice after longer distance runs. 2. Get a compression band for the thigh, a sleeve is good but the band will be IT band specific. 3. Monthly massages (happy ending is up to you). The 24 hrs afterward you feel like 110% gold. Got one on Wednesday and ran like a champ in my race yesterday. |

OMJ...
all/most leg/running issues can be related back to two things: 1. Proper footwear...go to runners edge or some like store and properly evaluated and fitted for shoes specific to your gait. 2. Stretch before and after your runs and don't forget that IT band. If you ran longer, I'd be more concerned about nutrition during run but your runs are too short for it to really matter. just hydrate. Whatever you do, DO NOT SKIMP ON SHOES. The extra $100 is nothing compared to the pain you will save yourself at any distance.

Just ordered cc pads, SS lines, 2 cans of brake fluid for $330, seems pretty decent. Eas has a 10% of Black Friday promo. Nothing crazy bit enough to push me over the edge to buy.

Where is a good place to get a dyno done around Lombard Naperville area?

I want to do a stock run in the AM, then have VS install my dps, fmic and dci, then dyno again in the afternoon stage 2+ pump, then dump e85 in the tank for the race maps. And lastly, if there is time, compare the e85 maps with the stock air box and the dci. Might be hard to get a shop willing to deal with me that much in a day.

That looks about right to me. Man e85 proves itself again. And that must be what all the e30, e40, e50maps people are talking about.
Ya the 5 gallon tank would work as well. Being winter it will probably be easier to get this done as well. I like the plan to see a good delta. How far out are you looking to do this? |
