Could be a bad gas problem, try a different pump/brand. I'm probably getting the same gas you are provided youre somewhat local to me and I don't see timing corrections like that. I doubt it's a hardware problem unless you felt something obviously wrong?

Yeah meant 4th. Wasn't sure if it was a 2-3 log or a 3-4 log.

I didn't feel anything obviously wrong... Although when i slam on the gas, it isn't perfectly smooth... It feels just like the rpm log shows... Kind of inconsistent power... But that might be due to a not-perfectly-smooth road and slight tire slippage... I assumed everyone had power delivery like that...

I can try other gas stations... But exxon is pretty reliable, i thought... Coming from Texas, i hate these gas stations that charge 10 cents more per gallon if you use credit card... so I've been restricted to the same gas stations... Guess I'll have to start carrying around cash :P

Hm very interesting... I'll definitely have to try new gas... What gas do you guys get? Shell?

I have the new BMS catch can... That shouldn't have anything to do with this, right? If anything it would prevent blow-by and prevent the blow-by from reducing the octane...

*sigh* can't wait for meth...

You may want to start a new thread and include additional logs if you are curious. IMO stage2 is very aggressive already and throwing in an uphill, 4th gear log it will be difficult to make it pretty looking. Everyone gets timing drops, can’t be avoided… but can be reduced. Both these guys have more efficient turbos, so their logs aren’t going to be as aggressive looking.

if you do meth get a small nozzle and run 50/50 % you want better octane and suppress IAT , not fueling. Otherwise your trims will go so negative that you will end up probably missifire, with cobb fueling is there and perfect , its not a piggy.

My logs didn't look like that even on stock turbos.

Try some new gas. I did some 60-130 mph testing in Oct and ran these first two with shell 93 from one gas station. Then ran it again a couple weeks later with shell 93 from another gas station. As you can see, totally difference story.

Thanks. I'll go to sport map and also try different gas stations.

What map were you running there? Still Aggressive?

Thanks for all the help, everyone!~

Have a 08' 335xi auto, with 33k, installed cobb and I am running stage 1 aggressive v301. Updated my Cobb via usb to latest version. I am experiencing hesitation or feels like milliseconds of loss of power under full throttle even when fully warmed up. Usually from 4k rpm up, when Cobb tune is removed, hesitation goes away. Would new spark plugs solve this? Have owned car since 28k and never been changed. Thanks for any input.

Since my car has 44k miles on it, it's about time for me to do spark plugs on my car anyway. Just picked up 6 spark plugs from autohausaz.com for $86 shipped to MD.

Just ordered from there and got free shipping... $72 bux.

Can it be the surge most of us are experiencing!!! Are you getting a pause in power between 3k-4k rpm? Try 4th gear cruise at 2k then load the car up gradually, does it initially kik in then pause then kick again?

If so wait in line for the fix soon.

X2, ordered mine also for $72 shipped to MD. Going to see if it helps, $72 isn't going to hurt.

I don't have surge or a pause, its like its misfirring. Just not smooth power past 4k rpm. But no codes.

I'm thinking of getting the Cobb for my car, but I really wanted to not mess with my warranty so I thought about the less powerful BMW PPK too.

For the Cobb, is it really easy to uninstall? Let's say if for most of the month I want to drive around stock, but perhaps only a weekend or so I want to put the tune back on, can I do that? I figure that less frequent driving like that would be better for the car. Is there any detriment to installing and removing the cobb tune a few times a month if you want to stay stock for most of the time?

It is SUPER easy to install/uninstall the cobb accessport. All you do is plug the AP in and select install or uninstall.

However, there's no real need. There are different levels of power you can run. If you want just a mild bump in power during the week you can run "drive" or "sport" for moderate gains or "agressive" for the most power. You can also run map 0 for stock power without uninstalling the tune.

Will Cobb increase hp/tq for stage 1 in the future? Im running stage 1 aggressive 93 oct but got use to the power quick. I am desperate to run stage 2 but i can't because i don't have and won't be able to install dp's due to fact that i don't want to lose the warranty. For those people out there like me that can't go with dp's because we don't want our warranty to get voided but would like to have more power and are left with wanting more, are they working on something or will this be as good as it gets?
