will do. much appreciated. i think i'm going to rent a car from OAK airport and drive there. i'll give myself a hour (just in case i get lost) to reach my destination.

make sure you reserve it ahead of time, you'll save some money that way

on it now but i don't think anyone will give me a break with less than a 48 hour notice. my fingers are crossed.

can i pickup the car at the airport? also, can i drop it back off on the same day? I will be flying in the morning and flying back in the afternoon.

Choicez, its not a problem at all. I'm sorry to hear about your loss and my prayers go out.

As for airport choice, I agree with Zoeb. Best thing to do is get a car rental ahead of time and fly out at your earliest convience. Just so in case you do get lost your have some fall back time to find your way. If you need anything, I know all of us are willing to help. Best of luck.

I never thought in a million years how someone who takes their own life is sooo different than someone who loses their life life spontaneously. I feel guilty cuz I should've seen the signs & done something about it. I didn't think it was that serious but it comes down to how everyone copes with their life dilemmas. No ones life is perfect.
