Whether it is tuning, tunning, or tooning I will not be involved with it....

And now...returning BACK to topic:
So, those of us with the 6at tranny can shift over to DS and get different transmission shift points as well as different throttle mapping (at least from my reading). Will the Shark Edit be able to modify BOTH throttle maps (if this is even true)? If so, that would be great for us who sometimes don't want our car in balls to the wall mode. Cruise around town chilling in D mode, and then kick it to DS when you want to show somebody what your taillights look like. Thoughts? |

Soooo... To kick things up a notch, has Shiv weighed in yet on the Shark? It's like the elephant in the room. Anyone have the diplomacy to ask his opinion on all this (and, eeek, whether there are conceivable circumstances under which he would market a tune delivered via injector)?

i personally like to see more horsepower in REVERSE. i mean Drive gets all the fun. Neutral and park can Rev. But theres nothing going on for Reverse, just backing out of parking spots. I'd like to race someone in Reverse. can we make that happen with the shark edit?

People still bought flashes from Vishnu though but, now they had the ability to fine tune things like idle and part throttle maps that the tuners don't always get right with the limited time they have on each car. |

Too bad Jim won't come here to answer all these questions. Reading through all the pages takes half a day, I doubt he can afford such a luxury. So we can go on with speculating, ideas, making fun of Kyle etc. just to kill some time until Jim joins the forum again, opens a new thread, posts some data +some answers if we're lucky and we can make another X*10 pages of BS once again Cheers

I suppose making some finetuning on the tool + starting up the production of a few thousands of units is not that easy... BTW June is the OBD I release date (not for us), the OBD II is July.

The program is just about finished, but he still has a ton of other work to get done as well. He needs to get ALL THE DOCUMENTATION finished up. That right there is going to be a full time job for the next while. There will also be a forum (sharkedit.com I believe) that must be setup as well. When this goes live, it will be ready to go. As for the OBDII stuff being released a month later, that is for his own sanity. That will also give him time to test the bluetooth can interface. |

I thought he was waiting b/c the printing press was on order...you know, to crank out the sheets of hundreds he'll be minting when the full Shark system for 335i hits the street at the [right] price point. This forum is just the tip of the iceberg - this must be a really busy time for him...and nothing but anticipation / impatience for us. WHAT A GREAT TIME TO HAVE A FI-BMW.

He is hedging. He seems open to this new world but at the same time he is pushing the V3 hard.
