Bottas had a championship winning car at his disposal but he couldn't do anything, Hamilton has an absolute pile of flaming garbage to fight with. There's a major difference, so that's why Bottas always gets trashed about Imola.

Leclerc's never fought for a championship before so he'll have to learn to control his emotions. So I'd give him some credit, he's been flawless thus far and even out smarter max in the restart in the first race.

So imo George is out performing the car and able to push past the natural limits of the car that is induced by porpoising and can extract every ounce of performance the car can give, i.e. he is extracting performance that shouldn't be there. With Lewis he is driving at the limit of the car if not under it, so he is slightly underperforming. That's just how it is, if you don't feel confident in the car you can't perform.

Bottas got muscled by Russell and a bad pit stop. Still decent performance.
Russell did a great job, even though his pit crew forgot to change front wing setting to dry. Good attitude and a shining light in a dim Merc garage. Ham needs to step up if he can. His mood, chip on shoulder, blame game impacts his team in a bad way. It appeared that Toto reminded him of his influence to the team this weekend. Schumacher dealt with underperforming teams and cars - in private. George is doing a better job in this area. LeCrash came back. He will come back strong no doubt. Sainz and Alonso — cursed by voodoo. Ocon remains ordinary. Mick remains less than average. Latifi is part of a dying breed of true pay drivers. Oscar P for 2023 Zho is showing movements of improvement. Yuki is filling the Gasly point void. Danny Ric. 2022 may evolve into his retirement year. Cool down room is BACK!

It is what it is, everyone loses eventually. You either retire on top or retire washed up, that's how it is in most sports especially fighting.

I know how you feel, after doing an oil change in the CLK (half the under engine panel needs removing) then I have to fit the overhaul kit to the rear brake calipers and put them back then re fill and bleed the system on the 928.

Just read Russell has back and chest pains from the pounding he got getting that 4th place at Imola, no wonder Ham was trundling along taking it easy behind Gasly he's no fool.
I'd wager that reserve drivers would have to be called in soon if the situation gets worse or Merc may have to raise the suspension even higher for the sake of health for their drivers. |

I thought that was a pretty good race in the end.
Good result for Redbull and a cracking points hall, Lando just keeps on delivering and getting the points, good to see McLaren reclaim the testing pace they showed. Merc, well I said Russell had talent and get him in a good car and he can show it. Hamilton, yikes not the day and he couldn't get past Gasly with that barn door rear wing. But was good is how close Gasly, Albon and Hamilton could follow and race lap after lap sometimes with only 0.3 of a second separating them. That is the sort of thing you see in F2 not F1 for years so the new regs are certainly delivering there but its not the track for easy overtaking, maybe another DRS sector to be added? Ferrari, the pressure got to the drives either in Quali or the race, you have to love the passion but they need to focus on points and just just drive with the heart. Sainz seems to have no luck at all at the moment but then is that due to lack of talent as the car seems great, Mmm. Overall a good race for a track that can be quite the precession. Roll on Miami, I sense we are about to see some fairly big updates on a few cars.....! |

From the 4 races so far ,MAX only finished twice , but he took the 2 victories . Meanwhile Charlie is still leading the WDC ranking with '27 points . But It's a long season ...
