That may be the case but the Riss Racing guy made a bold statement and is willing to back it. He's willing to take on ANY other DP manufacturer on a otherwise stock car.

If it's all magic, someone prove him wrong.

Take on? I still haven't seen any tuned DP dynos showing HP gains, only the stock dynos that are running higher boost.

Having not been on the dyno yet with the catless DPs, I'm not sure of the gains. But I'm pretty sure they are there... even with a tune.

Sure. Just as soon as this weather clears up, I'll develop a map for dps and come on down to LA. I'll drop you a PM within the next few days.

shiv do you expect gains comparable to the gains that I got with my wrx when I got catless downpipes and a vishnu flash + tune?

those were pretty huge gains

i was just trying to say something.......atleast one thing hah........positive about their DP's so they wouldnt get butt hurt about me saying that "of course they think their DP's are the best.......its THEIR downpipe hah." Otherwise yea, who cares if they're polished or not. But its nice to do the extra little things like polishing and what not, when paying so much. Look at super sprints dumb ass (sorry, cant stand them for making a bunch of seriously and ridiculously over priced shit) they charge SOO much for their crap, and dont even bother polishing their gear (not that its incredibly important or anything but still, its the least they could do. Kind of like buying a Lamborghini and not having a professional detail done to it before you pick it up, or atleast a nice polish and wax).

take them on for what haha........for a .006 hp difference hah? There is only so much you can do with the DP's on this car. Due to limited space and the design, I predict pretty much all after market DP's will be the same in terms of their design and performance. I mean, what could be different? You've got to be precise about your bends, welds, and piping sizes for these DP's to work...........so where could you possibly implement any significant differences between one after market DP and another. Im talking about catless DP's for THIS car. Not high flow catted ones or DP's for other cars, where you could argue with me and say that "different cats make a difference" for example. Nope, just straight catless.

Right, you can have mandrel bends and still have welds. They are just in the straight sections between bends.
