How long does it typically take from the time the ship gets into the port, until we can pick it up at the dealership. I got my car from Paul Miller BMW in Wayne, NJ so it doesnt have too far to travel between the port and the dealership. This is my first BMW so I am new to the process.. and very anxious to get my car!

Some have seen different results but in my area I have seen cars arrive here after 2-3 days after getting to the port. I work for BMW and pulled two vins from two 335 coupes outside and here is what I got. Below you will see both of them took 2 days. If everything goes well I will be expecting my car on Saturday the 9th.

Since my car was an ED it took nearly 4 weeks to get mine. But then again it arrived Dec 24th right before christmas and New Years then had a busted wheel and tire and had to clear customs. Im hoping my dads ED wont take that long. But if your car wasnt an ED ide 3-10 days.

my dealer up here in MA told me 7-9 days until they receive it once it docks. i'm hoping it's 7 max.

also hope otello is still on sched for 2/7 in NJ.

I'm hoping that since my dealership is only 45min from the port, they send her right up! I saw the "example" showing a possible 2 day date of delivery from the day it arrives at the port...I sure hope that's the case

It was supposed to stop in Halifax today and depart today to NJ. Now it's scheduled to arrive tomorrow in Halifax. Will probably be a a day late for NJ as well.

Vesseltracker cannot give give accurate information for this ship & the WW website still lists it as "on time"

sailwxinfo shows it last reported at midnight 2/5.

I need my f*cking car by the 15th for a vacation !!!

It will depend on the voyage itself and what ship it's on. Some ships have dedicated routes and stops while others will have a direct trip. The stops are fast with no more then a day or two at the port. The Otello has like 6 stops before heading back to Europe.

PS They don't strictly pickup BMW's. Otello I believe can carry about 6,500 cars.

According to the WW website, the Otello (Voyage EA804-OTL) has left Halifax (The port now shows in RED which means the ship has sailed)

This would make in ON SCHEDULE for NY/NJ.
