Mikes does details? Didn't know that...we are taking about Mikes in Malden right? How is it?? Usually I go to UCC in Stoneham lol

yeah mike's in malden...they don't personally do the details, he has a guy come in and do it just like the Xpel...actually I think it might be the same guy who does the clear wraps...I will ask.

I want them to detail it though because Mike and Eric know the parts that have just been painted so I don't need to clay those parts just wax

spoke to Eric today at Mike's to get more details...he uses Unique Car Care for the details (the company everyone on the forums raves about)...I will have to pay them a visit to check out what they can do for me...their stage 1 detail costs $400 but since I just painted the whole front of the car and my swirls aren't too bad I am wondering if they can get me some sort of better price

He also said he has a 2nd mediocore guy that ONLY charges $200, but for the extra couple bucks I would do UCC if I was going to drop that dough

I already scheduled with UCC at the end of May (Rick gets booked quick). In my experience its worth it but if your car isn't in bad shape maybe not. Doesn't hurt to ask though for a lower rate since less work is needed

Bottom line, ya get what you pay for, UCC is top notch.

If there was any way to work out a group buy for detailing I'd be down. $400 for exterior is insane. I've heard they do great work but that is too rich for my blood.
