I'm in touch with Charles and I may be placing an order sooner than I thought with my credit card
They are fairly priced and proven the power for that amount! Hopefully they are stabled enough and won't cause any issues like the RB are having!

N54 PURE Stage 2
Further gauging interest on a possible group buy:
Of course before starting a group buy, we will post our official announcement thread including more details, pics of the turbos, and possibly a second set of dyno results. These turbos are intended to make big power with stock frames. They are built using the same strategy as our other Stage 2 turbos: 100% direct fit bolt on. No oil or coolant line changes, and look 100% stock from the outside. Also utilizing the stock 1.81" OD turbo inlet diameter. Therefore we only recommend inlet systems meant to fit the stock compressor housing inlet. We have tested a few inlet kits in house, the kits meant to fit 2" inlets do not fit well, and we do not recommend them. All our turbos come fully optioned, billet compressor wheels, big thrust, wastegate repair and upgrade, etc. Pricing: Group Buy Price - $3500 + core ($300 for 335i, $600 for the others) Retail - $3900 + core In the event we proceed with a group buy, we were thinking 20 spots to fill. We are open to thoughts and suggestions. Thanks for the interest guys and gals. |

As you may have seen in the past, we don't post our wheel specs. Our wheel profiles are designed in house. The compressor wheel is called "N54". It's not used in any other turbo. Same with the turbine wheel.
We completely understand if this prevents you from being interested. No problem. This is why we always strive to provide results as soon as possible. At the end of the day, we feel results are what matters. Thanks! |

I of course was also hoping for a comparable Stage 2 price point. Even at group buy discount it's the highest priced at the moment. Great results though and I am sure they will sell.

I decided to go online and look up the prices for RB and VTT:
RB $3850 (billet wheel, turbine clipping and thrust upgrade, $300 for core) VTT Stage 2 $3269 (upgraded billet 6x6 compressor) VTT Stage 2+ $4196 (clipped turbines, upgraded billet 20T compressor) You guys can't just look at the base price as if that's the final price. Plus PURE doesn't have a 3+ month waiting list.

Yes that's a good point sir. I guess for me I don't fully option any of them when I am shopping Stage 2's. I see about 3000 for each RB's and Vargas for the Base Stage 2's. I was waiting for these to come out like many others and was hoping for Hexon level pricing but I am sure your quality is very high. Like I said you will sell them for 4k as your company has great reviews and many guys are sick of the VTT/RB drama. I will save up for next year!

no waiting is a plus and to me thrust upgrade is useless while %90 of RB users doesn't have one. To be honest I was expecting price to be around $2800-$3000.. Well if you ask me I would still go with Pure instead of RB's or Vargas. Pure rocks I've been reading about them a lot. I am sure they will sell a bunch without any complain..

A proper sized and designed turbine wheel does not need to be clipped. It takes us 10 minutes to clip a turbine wheel. If our customers want clipped turbines (which we don't recommend), we will throw it in for free. It's a scam in my opinion. The whole "clipped" turbine wheel thing is very old school and a thing of the past. Does Precision Turbo or Garrett "clip" their turbines? No. Unnecessary and ineffective. Old school Garrett turbos from the 80's that use the old turbine wheel castings with a heavy angle on the exducer blade will gain a bit from a "clip". But this is a thing of the past, doesn't apply to turbochargers of today. |
