Here's a surprising perspective to that, we're in America. Where we take things from one extreme to another and must be either insensitive and overly sensitive. This is my view, find a balance between the two and treat others the way they want to be treated.

What I have noticed, no matter what brand of car, the more expensive the car...the less the turn signals are likely to work! Entitled, don't have to follow the rules, don't have any concern for others.

I drive both cars. Now what?
This thread is the best autofellatio thread I've read on M3 post thus far. You'll get more and more riff-raff like me driving these cars as they get cheaper. Time to jump to the F8x! You've been warned. |

Been to numerous BMW CCA events, track, auto-x, car-control and I couldn't have run into nicer people. I do think that enthusiasts are a self-selected group that respect vehicles from any model/year/brand and don't get into any pissing matches. Your average BMW driver on the road however, judging by driving behavior, I think that reputation has been earned, but then again you are talking two completely different groups of people.
Anonymity on the boards also increases caustic behavior, but if these same people met in a room, they wouldn't say 90% of the things they say on here. |

This is a interesting theory. My ex used to be a service advisor at BMW. She used to tell me that all the ignorant and self entitled customers were all the 323 owners.... And some of the most humble customers drove brand new 7 series... I guess it's the people that pretend to have money that are DB, while people with real money can be very nice. Just some food for thought.

I knew that would come, wondered the same myself and I like that he wasn't hogging the left lane.

DBs are everywhere, BMW drivers or not, whether they are in front of you or behind you...

IMHO, I've had much more pleasant experiences with the BMW crowd in NY/NJ/CT compared to south FL. I was with the Patroon Chapter CCA based out of Albany and enjoyed going to their annual Show and Shine events at Keeler BMW in Latham and have met many great friends who I still keep in touch to this day. Down here, the Everglades Chapter doesn't really do much other than a Cars/Coffee event once a month which I've stopped going to back in the summer. Things should be changed up to make it more interesting (ie dine and drive events, shows at different locations, etc...). I've really never clicked with any BMW drivers down here like I've had in NY so I'm considered a loner lol.
