Oil change cost has went to 1/2 price by getting Rotella T6. No, I hadn't got oil analysis done. I'm sure I could more than double from an oil additives still present basis. At my driving distance, it's still only 2 changes per year. Car isn't my daily driver.

The shop said the sensor had cracked and was filled with oil. Did high pressure cause this too? At any rate, car seems ok now, but I got raped by the shop. They charged me $150 for diagnosis, $20 for the new sensor, $190 to install it, and then performed two full synthetic oil changes with filters. The total was $727! |

Thanks, Yozh. This is what I would have expected, but did not take the time to research. Now I can't think of any scenario that crushed my new filter and broke the pressure sensor. Can you?
