I had PTF at first for couple of years it was good but then once I switch to MHD they wanted to charge me to for a full price tune again. So I made the switch to BuraQ and couldn't be more happier he's very helpful and always emails you back with in minutes. Dzenno would always take forever to email you back with very short explanations. Plus BuraQ tune price was cheaper compared to others that was the selling point to me.

I voted Wedge. I've never had a single issue with getting in contact with him ever. My tune is solid as fuck at 25+ psi on stock turbos , with inlets/outlets and traps 125 in the 1/4, with a 6mt and radials.

and to be fair i dont think theres ever really been a discussion specific to comparing the merits of these two tuners. given they split ways recently, i think its a warranted thread. i know i had trouble deciding before i made a choice.

Real, good technical contributions to these types of threads always turn into shit shows. If you want to know technical merits of both tuners, a bunch of reviews from people on e90 won't give you that. It'll only give you the subjective pants dyno measurements and how much hand holding they got through the process. Hardly useful. But without getting into details between the two I'd choose Wedge these days. There, I contributed. Go be salty on someone else now friend

you also have to remember, that there are many great tuners out there other than the ones mentioned in the first post. they just don't pay this forum to be able to say that, lol.

I do however always find it strange that on some forums you can pay to be popular with no real experience. but such is life I guess.

Depends how much input you give the tuner to tune the way you like it.

E90 isn't as technical as some of the other forums, so yea obviously most users aren't gonna care about pid tuning or what knock tables are being used. But they do wanna know about how a car feels and what the customer service is like. I've been around enough platforms to know this forum serves its purpose, and you should too.

I have been tunes by wedge, BQ, and PTF

Wedge and BQ equally put about the same amount of effort to get my tune perfect and where in constant contact with me daily. Ultimately BQ has a better solution for my DCT car, but wedge still tried his hardest.

My experience with PTF was horrible and I didn't get responses back for days at a time. Not only that it seemed like the tuner could care less who I was or what I was asking for.

+1 for a horrible ptf experience. I'm still pissed I paid near 500 au for someone to be rude to me.
Got a tune that was nothing what I asked for and literally waited months for revisions with rude single word replies. This went for about 3 months and 4 revisions received.

Emailed wedge then buraq sorted it out in a couple of days.
Literally got 5 revs of buraq in one day last year.


This was from Jake. So nothing to do with dzenno in my case. Dzenno offered to tune my after I complained. Got one map and never loaded it.

Sure, you can run high boost and pull timing out until there are no timing corrections, but there is a point where it's better to reduce the boost instead and make the same power, safer.

I personally run 14psi FBO on stock turbos. Diminishing returns past that on pump with no meth due to the amount of timing that needs to come out to go higher in boost. Boost is just a bragging number.
