Per quote that I got from eas. If u bought the kit straight from them like stated above its 4700 which includes tune and install assuming the wait for the injectors is acceptable
You really know how to lay a turd on someone else's FS thread, don't you.

Point was to provide numbers I received direct from ess. The free install option is dependent on dealer Bc I am still interested in going sc so I emailed them this morning actually. And I'm near dc. Closest is northern ca that offer the discount install as per their sales rep today. So the numbers for me do not make sense if I want to go ver2 from the seller Bc of the cost of a tune plus stage2 is the same as a brand new kit

I'm not understanding, doesn't the gen 2 kit come with it'sown tune? 800 for a pully and injectors alone seems steep.

That's what I thought too...
From ESS:
"I can do Gen.2 spec 115 or 120mm pulley (manual/auto), injectors and software incl E-flash cable for USD 1495.
The injectors are on backorder though, it may be 4-6 weeks."

I replied "The upgrade kit online states $795, It will be for a new car with Gen1 ESS SC kit"

They replied "Then you also need a new E-Flash cable and software license making total cost 1495. "

I replied "I can't use the same cable with just a new tune?"

They said "You can't. The cable is VIN specific and only works on the first car it is married to"

So yeah, I am just doing my due diligence to figure out total cost for myself because I really want to go SC... That extra $700 is for a new unmarried cable basically.. If you are upgrading an already married cable from teh gen1 to gen2, then it is included in that $800.

True! If no one picks this up soon I might end up keeping it and upgrading it.

I thought the SC kit was good for 80HP or so.

I suppose starting point will differ based on 323/325/328/330, but curious what additional things would be needed to get it to 400!! 330 only makes 260 stock I think.

Its not the power I'm concerned it's how much the engine will last pushing out that much power. I'm keeping the SC and not upgrading it for the moment.

sorry for bumping an old thread guys, is the difference between the old ESS SC kit and new ESS SC kit only:

1. Larger injectors
2. Tuned map
3. 115mm pulley

???

Especially for those who already have BPCs tune... their retune fee isnt half bad. Definitely not 1500 bad.

I know right? I guess people aren't that interested anymore. It felt good to be unique with the supercharger as there aren't many people that have it.
it has less to do with interest and more to do with price. for like the same price buy it brand new with a warranty and they include install from what I remember with that. you have to drive to one if their partner facilities but still. it may show out of stock still on their website but I emailed once before and they told me they could absolutely still make the kit.

edit: I meant after you pay for the tune you'll need also.

Best tuner I've found is Stage FP and I believe it's only 650 for the full custom remote tuner, definitely not the same cost comparing to buying new. Plus. The install is relatively easy, 4-5 hours. I wouldn't rely completely on instructions but with forum research/help very easy. Their instructions, do kinda suck.
