Thats funny, you were all excited about petey running 110 without meth on a BPC tune but youre blowing up over someone going faster with a JR tune Im obviously not here for the records or the popularity given that I didnt post my times or trap after I ran, take it for what its worth but it provides me no value to be faster or to feed you a story. My 112 was on a much worse 60' than petey had if it makes you feel any better.

If you took my original post as an indication that the JR Tune was better than the BPC then you might want to go back and re-read it. I was simply stating that they both have great aspects, but different strong points. Just looking at the dyno charts shows that they have different qualities.

They might not share because of different techniques used. Easiest way would be to get dumps of each and compare, but we can't do that easily through obd2.

Snuck in a quick trip for the last test-n-tune of the season in early Oct. There was a head/cross wind which hurt the trap speed, and I still can't hook with a darn on those Hoosier DOT drag radials (least amount of spinning came with them aired down to 16psi).

Do you think next time out you could make a pass with tune alone?

People are using your results to skew power info. JR tuned cars without the use of a creative fuel controller like yours are trapping 108-110. There are some suggesting that you owe your results to the tune. Simply buying a JR stage 2+ Isnt going to get you a 118+.

-JR hybrid car with tune trapped 110.
-BPC car with tune and intercooler trapped 110.
-BPC car with tune and meth trapped 112.
-BPC car with tune, meth and hybrids trapped 114.
-TDI's car has trapped 119 with JR tune AND your fuel controller.
-JR tuned car trapped 112 on tune alone but, cannot locate or post slips. (States was tune alone even though owner has a WI installed)
-Ecotune hybrids and custom tune trapped 112.

As I've said previously, both tuners are making similar numbers and have similar trap speed results. Using TDIwyse's trap/ data to champion a specific tuner is skewing product info to the masses. TDIwyse is making additional power because of his fuel controlller and not simply because of his tuner.

I was hoping a few of the JR tuned guys, specifically the gents that posted here would have been able to hit the track and post data/ videos rather than opinions. I get it, everyone's busy etc. It would be nice to see some more JT tuned data though...

Yeah, it's not an apples to apples comparison. There's some extra stuff wrapped around the remap he made for me: Intercooler, intake mods, exhaust mods, EWG, water methanol, sensor manipulation, etc.

It would be difficult to unwrap all the extra stuff that's wrapped around each other, as things are optimized for how they interact, and some of the hardware mods would be very time consuming to undo. It would be a lot of fussing around to go back to just the tune by itself.

Cool, malone was good in the TDI world. Seems like similar numbers but they aren't saying the dpf or scr delete.

And unlike fixmyvw/JR , they DONT charge 200 more for an x5, it's based on the engine! Shame on that, but for the 335d stage 2 race, the JR is cheaper and probably more tested?

I'm a vw convert and malone tuned. I researched and there is shop in PA that does malone work on 335d, but nowhere near figured out as JR or BPC tunes. That said Mark is a legend in TDI house.

I have not put mine on the track, We did dyno on a mustang dyno in Florida heat 305/480 with JR tune and ABC deletes. I do not really care much about 1/4 mile, I am more concerned with real world performance, so here are some real numbers

240 miles averaging 90mph (as slow as 50 as fast as 140) on 8 gallons to average 30 mpg.
50 mpg at 60 mph.
and for the speed demons 60-120mph in 9 seconds, about as fast a 991 GT3 and about a second slower than a Z06.

I have put about 20,000 miles on the JR and it has been flawless. There is a little flat spot from 117-121 but thats the worst I can say about it.

60-120mph is pretty impressive for the 335d. I've often said that my car feels much faster than the 1/4 trap leads us to believe. I have pulled much faster cars on the hwy.

370HP and 600 TQ on stock turbos and no meth.

His tunes are very drivable and he is very responsive. I threw a code a few weeks after my tune. He quickly figured out the problem and did the swirl flaps deletes for me and changed the charge pipe gasket. No issues since.

Fuel economy has improved approx 10% as an added bonus.

I got my JR 2.5 running with IAKnown's exhaust the last week of October. I had/have W/M and those were about the numbers I came up with on my butt-dyno guess. Honestly, the car really just scares me now. Best part is it is a really clean tune. I briefly see a slight haze in the rearview on highway kickdown, but that's it. Nothing to show at idle and normal driving. I need to get one of my kids to follow me around for awhile one day and report back.

can you elaborate on this updated tune? newer 2.5 tune from june/July 2016?
