Think about it this way. I spend 1200 on procede which is only like 600 used so i beat him and he gives me 500. Basically hes paying for the procede. This gamble is some what risky. Lol if i loose i am not gonna pay up. If he loose the money is still going to me. Both of us are giving it to my friend and my friend is on my side.

I just google a saab turbo and it shows this rally/show car putting down 700 hp to the wheels. It is a 9 3 turbo but a generation older. And its not convertible.

It dont make sense to me. Anyone who would want to tune his car to make serious power most likely knows there are way better platforms out there.

Front wheel drive Saab Convertible is not one of them.

Also, if the car looks stock it most likely is. I would imagine a car guy who loves his car so much to spend the money to turn a cruiser into a 500hp monster who races RS4's would at least upgrade wheels, better tires.

This guy sounds like a tool that is driving mommy's "expensive luxury" car and thinks its faster than it really is.

I say race him and be done with it. Its a risk if your putting up the money, but i just cant fathom a 500hp FWD Saab convertible.

If it were an older Saab Viggen, or car that actually has a tuning following i would say MAYBE. but ....This

Have a neutral party hold the $500 just in case he makes excuses when he loses. Look at his engine compartment before he races. Saabs uses very small turbos and those are definately not a turbo car I would modify to go fast. My coworker had a Saab and it was slow.

Again, look under the hood and ask if it was his dad's car because his dad may know a thing or two about modding and might have been a hand me down to him.

This guy is trying to jock you, that saab in no way has the capabilities to put out 500hp. That is just a freakin ridiculous comment. In all honesty you should just sock him for being such a complete fool. Confront him, have five bills on hand, call him out. He will most definitely flake and pull some excuse on you. And please if he is oblivious enough to take up the challenge be sure to have a neutral spectator with both drivers' cash on hand, and be wise dont race on public streets its just not worth it. Imagine getting a speeding ticket on top of all of the other offenses they would probably get you with you'll be looking at fines well over 700 dollars on top of all the time you're gonna have to invest with the court issue and documentation. Have some common sense and decency dont risk innocent drivers' lives. Good luck this kid sounds like a punk already.
