Wait, their info is wrong that Audi link the ring dimensions are incorrect. This one might work if you could find the replacement ring:

I personally would stick with one of the much more cost effective solutions, you are correct.

Tom! They would have done it already if was matter of swapping rings and hubs around. Forget it.

I'm not one to give up. They have a E34/E46 M3 BBK kit that uses a rear 330x22mm rotor. That rotor could be used exactly as-is, since we know the E46 competition rotor fits, thanks to justpete, with a spacer of some kind.

They also don't sell the parts separately, or at least didn't the last time I checked last year.

If you look at the URL for the ring, it says "EVO", meaning it is a shared component that is also used by the E46 hub. It stands to reason that they use the same interface for each hub/ring combination, and that you probably could just buy the 335i rear rotor and the ring I linked to above, and you're in business.

That's the one. Found it. E46 competition package rear rotor, sold individually. Weighs a ridiculous 12.7lbs. Discontinued unfortunately, but would work with no funny business except the spacer you already have justpete

Not sure what you're really trying to achieve, track only braking?

I swapped all four corners on my 328x to 335 brakes and there's a huge difference in bite (pad/rotor combo) but they definitely don't fade like stock and they look great under the wheels. Parts were cheap from eBay, Ecs, and tire rack. Not sure if this is helpful tho lol

Trying to achieve braking that doesn't suck. Stock is a joke. Floating calipers are only marginally useful with solid guide pin bushings. But with fixed calipers and two piece floating rotors, race pads, ABS/DSC totally disabled it's absolutely perfect. I'm guessing nearly everyone's mileage might vary on that point though.

justpete preach it. I would love to get a solid upgrade in braking without adding any unsprung mass relative to my existing setup.

The sole remaining problem is pedal travel. It's far less than it was given there isn't any pad knockback anymore, I assume, so the brakes are more pressure modulated making heel/toe easier.

Getting rid of the awful stock braking system for a true race pedal box with dual brake master cylinders and a remotely adjustable balance bar removes this problem but really increases the force required to work the brakes. Definitely not cheap or easy or simple for that matter. Not exactly street friendly either.

For two piece floating brakes, why is girodisc not an option? All of their rotor rings use the same casting and metallurgy as their Motorsport rotors. They also do not exhibit the catastrophic failure modes that the rb rotors have

Never found any that would fit with my current setup. Doesn't really matter as STU class doesn't allow anything over four pot calipers and 331mm rotors (I think) so it'll have to change eventually. Works fine for now otherwise.

Thanks, it's an option then. Bimmerworld has solutions available, Stoptech doesn't meet the rotor diameter requirements (I think), but other mfgs are an option depending on how much more modification I'd be willing to do.

I hope the name is not a turn off but I think Ceika has 2-piece rotors for e9x for both small and large parking brake with rings starting from 285mm and up.
