I still have my OEM charge pipe at 130,000 miles and no issues. VRSF charge pipe would work fine with hybrids or stockers.

Exactly, which is why I would like to hear from someone who has tried the new one. They say it was redesigned for better fitment so there is at least that acknowledgement from Cobb themselves.

I read the posts about poor fitment and poor construction of the coupler at the end but I didn't have that problem at all. It's a tight fit and you have to get it just right but it fits perfect. It's also the same large diameter all the way to the intercooler up-pipe and uses a tapered coupler. This is superior in my opinion to the ER which uses a smaller diameter at the intercooler end. What if I decide to go with the AD intercooler and have a 3" connector coming out of the end of it?
I'm sure that people usually opt for the larger single BOV though and that makes this less popular. I just kept my stock DV's and have them vented to atmosphere with the inlets plugged. Not because I wanted the sound but because I needed to remove the DV to front turbo inlet tube to fit my MR5 intake setup in there. ![]() ![]() Last edited by DennisPacMo; 05-18-2017 at 05:53 PM.. |
