Seriously, I had this headache for a couple years trying to decide, viewing videos, etc. until I just went the best of both worlds with one of the valved exhaust options.

Ended up going with the Bomiz, but there is a Turner Motorsport one that looks nice, and of course the Valvtronic. The reason I did not go with the Valvetronic was the single side replacement of the catback instead of a full catback system.

Long story short - now I can cruise around work or to my parents at peace, and not have any drone on the highway when I want to cruise, or cold-start in my garage without cringing. OR I can open it up with a remote tap and go straight pipped that sounds like an F1 car at high revs. and much better than the MP exhaust in sound.

Sounds is subjective but I prefer the Street unless you're looking to draw some attention

The Bomiz setup looks kickass. Curious if you paid full price for it and how the install was. Cheers!
I didn't install it. But it's a full stainless steel exhaust setup mid-pipe included.

I'm considering buying the VRSF Street Exhaust for 2011 335i. If I do, I would like to buy some different exhaust tips. What are the inlet, outlet, and length measurements of the tips that come with this system?

I'm going through the same dilemma. I might just end up putting a electric cut out before the secondary cats and keeping the stock muffler for comfort.

Can anybody comment on power and torque delivery vs stock exhaust on the street version. Did the power band shift any? You notice extra torque or power along the rev range? Any losses on low end torque?

Look at Dinan. Their exhaust has a nice throaty sound to it.

Maybe get a used set of BMW PE mufflers (they sound the best IMO)

Get a used or new set of 335is mufflers and do the golf tee mod.

Catless down pipes, X vs stock H pipe, secondary cat delete w/ vibrant 1792 resonators and intake all can effect how your exhaust sounds

Also, if it's a sedan and you chop off the resonator and put in an X pipe, that will greatly effect the sound.

You are maybe going to gain 5 hp going to a performance set up when talking about the mid-pipes back.

Exhaust set up is purely for sound

Yeah, I wouldn't spend money on exhaust if you're looking for power gains. I noticed the turbos spooled a little faster that's about it.

the weight reduction is pretty big over the stock exhaust.

If you take out the mufflers and go completely straight pipe back. Yes

+1 for Bomiz. I went through a bunch of options before Bomiz and the ability to go from dead silent/more quiet than stock to straight pipe F1 sound is a HUGE plus.

We've seen cars gain up to 45whp when switching from the OEM exhaust to the VRSF race @ 620whp. While gains are minimal on a stock N54 setup, they are noticeable on a modded setup.

Our street muffler saves over 42 lbs over the OEM exhaust setup due to the single pipe design rather than the dual pipe. Dual exhaust setups add significant unnecessary weight.

I have stage 2+ turbos and want reduce any back from stock exhaust to avoid turbo failure. I have 3 inch downpipes too. Some people report loss of torque with some exhaust systems down low and maybe a little power increase up top. I love the immediate response spool and torque pull i have now. I dont need any gains with my setup. I dont want to lose the immediate response I get and powerful torque pull through out the rev range. If I gain power, thats even better.

So no torque loss or feeling thereof with the street version? Also, would tq/power gains be throughout the rev range?

I've had this same headache too! I saw your comment mentioning the Bomiz exhaust last week. I had a look at the website. That exhaust looks beautiful. I sent an email to Bomiz last Sunday. Still no reply. Would you have any videos of how it sounds?

I've got vrsf 3" catless dps, stock oem midpipes and a bmw performance exhaust on the car now. Im thinking that Bomiz work of art must sound louder and nicer(deeper growl). Plus valve off and on is good for the police.

I don't, but it basically sounds a little louder than stock closed, and straight pipped loud wide open, that's also with catless downpipes.

The more I realize driving it, is that how thankful I am with my decision now that I know how bad an exhaust sounds and the drone on an N54 in low RPM's 🤮. Sounds awful, I'd hate to be DD'ing around with that sound. Thank goodness I can shut it up with a click and when driving by cops etc. and get straight mean with a click.

If the Bomiz is unavailable go with the turner valved exhaust.

Yes, the Turner exhaust is exactly the other similar option.
