Logic 7 Poll

I haven't kept up with it but, is the new premium sound better than the L7 that come on the 07's and 08's or is it the same and they are just charging for it now?

I'm not super impressed with the sound quality of the H-K in my 07 but, then again I've probably lost a decent percentage of my high frequency hearing by now.

I guess depending on how crappy the standard system sounds in relation to the Hi-fi I might or might not order it. Hard to say without being able to hear them. Probably need another option of "It depends on the sound quality difference".

1 of the reasons I grabbed an '08 E90 was to get the logic sound system as standard (mostly to lock in the 0.9% financing though). If I had waited for the '09, I would have ordered the logic system. I had it in my '06 E90 330i and absolutely loved it!

btw - I had the standard sound system in my '03 325i and it couldn't hold a candle to the logic system in the e90.

To be fair though, I'm not sure how the standard system in the e90 compares to the one I was familar with in the E46...

I had an '08 with Logic7 standard, it was EXCELLENT! So, I'm definitely hurts that I have to pay for it this time around, but new I-Drive will soothe my wounds.

I have yet to experience a Logic 7 in person, and it's a good thing cause I'd probably have my checkbook out ready to buy any car on the lot if I did!!!!

Anyway, this youtube vid sold me on getting the Logic 7 even if it's a $800 invoice option for 2009

I couldn't even imagine what this would sound like in person, sure it's no pro install, but I'm sure this would certainly satisfy my old school basshead cravings.

Too bad we can't get the 825 watt monster from the M3 for that price. That'd be a <$1 a watt.

if you're bellyaching about $875, try paying $1900 for the premium sound in the M3.

Indeed. I shall get a fair bit of use out of the 6FL myself as a primary audio source, and reserve the onboard music storage for contingencies.

Interestingly, the Logic7 is the only option I found where you can actually get it cheaper in Germany. Pretty much every other option is more expensive in Germany - I don't know why they decided to screw us over on that one.

I think it's a bit of a ripoff, but if I were buying a 2009 I'd probably still get it. It's a good stock system, and you don't have to deal with any hassles associated with an aftermarket system.
