Nope ....I have no odd sounds. The rpms start to rise without the car accelerating to match the rpm increase. Feels like like a clutch slipping in a manual car.

They are actually not that bad.... nothing is out of range. If I remember right, if you have any over 320-ish.....you have issues. The A clutch is getting close, but the others look fine.

A = 293 mbar

B = 206 mbar

C = 50 mbar

D = -174 mbar

E = 150 mbar
I'm curious to see what your trans values will be when you replace the shift solenoids. It would be nice to see a before & after comparison.

I will scan it right before I replace them.....and then after I put some miles on the car with the new solenoids. It sounds like it's going to take a while for the car to adjust the adaptation pressures after the new solenoids are in.

Erikson Transmission said to NOT reset the adaptations......and to just take it easy for 100 miles or so and let it relearn on its own. They said that sometimes when you reset the adaptations, it can really screw things up.....and you are better off to just let the transmission relearn and make adjustments to the current settings vs. resetting everything and letting it start from the default settings.

I'd probably want to know what ZF says as well.

I look forward to seeing your data.

It might take 500 miles or so

Well...I put the car up on the lift last night and drained the fluid. Tonight I'm going to drop the pan, and pull the valve body off to get to all of the shift solenoids. Keeping my fingers crossed that it fixes the slipping issues.....at this point, I think it's just wishful thinking.

Could you note which solenoid colors you got in?

Let’s hope it works but most likely you are right and it’s either another transmission time or time for a rebuild. Looks like you were getting faults for the E clutch which is the most overworked clutch in the zf 6 trans. Might be possible that it could suffice to rebuild just that clutch.

When driving? No..not yet. Got the new solenoids in, hoping to get the car out today and put some miles on it and see if the new solenoids helped. I will take my laptop along this time and monitor transmission temps.

If it goes over 95c its too hot, i had a slipping 4th to 5th and a trans cooler fixed my issue

I guess that's something to check into. Where is the trans cooler located?

Take the fan off and you will see the trans cooler at the bottom. I did a custom cooler that sits behind my grille

Well.....I got the new solenoids in, and got everything all put back together and filled up with fresh fluid. The transmission seems to shift good.....but I'm probably going to put a couple hundred easy miles on it to let it adjust the adaptations before I put the power to it.

One weird thing though.....I scanned the adaptations with xHP like I've done in the past, and for some reason...all the pressures and times say "O". Not sure what's up with that.....I didn't reset them. Maybe it's a bug in the new version of xHP?

Even after putting a few miles on the car and then scanning it again....xHP displays all adaptations as 0.

Odd....

Well this sounds promising so far. Definitely interested to see what happens when you push it a bit harder.

Where did you source your solenoids?

Eriksson Industries..... they specialize in those ZF transmissions. The guys there know their stuff....and their prices on parts are as good or better than any other places I've found.

After driving around for a while, my transmission temps weren't even above 60c.....so I think at this point, heat isn't a problem. I will have to see what kind of temps I'm seeing once I really start driving the car hard.

You might need to drive 300 or so miles so xHP can give you some adaptation numbers...

XHP has came out saying it's a bug..... hopefully they will have a fix soon. It's not that the adaptations are really zero....they just can't be read for some reason.

Try driving it hard, if not then trying replacing the sealing sleeves and if that doesn't work then its either the e clutch or the internal bushing
