Devon Hill is closer to my work too (i'm in KoP), but the Devon Hill route sucks! I went there for the event 2 years ago and it goes through all the residential (25mph) areas behind rt. 30. local residents called the police and everyone had to drive slowly. hopefully for your sake they changed the route.

i attended one of those here in CA. even if you sign up for the M3 (and are 30, which i'mn not) there is a really good chance it will in the shop. they barely had it on the road every 3 event here because people who can't drive beat the shit out of it, burn the clutch or do other damage and the car then sits waiting to be repaired.

the funny thing is, you can't drive the B7 but you can drive the 760iL which is what i did. it's no B7 but still a magnificent car. the V12 is so smooth and strong and the cabin is so quite and couldn't even tell i was doing 120mph on the freeway. and the in-cabin technology/comfort, wow!

I did the event in Flemington yesterday and just like you predicted NO M3! And if you didn't have a reservation for the Alpina, they wouldn't let you take it out period, so I couldn't even substitute that for my "reservation". All in all though it was okay, I drove 8 different cars and racked up some mileage for a good cause and had a fun time.

If anybody's reserved the M3 for any upcoming events in NJ/PA, you might want to change your reserved car to the Alpina because the M is probably going to be out of service.

WTF! I predicted by the time the M3 made it to the end of this year's event it would either be totaled or the clutch/brakes would need repair. how dumb of BMW to not get this on the road ASAP. i mean they can't even get rid of these things, maybe if they teased us with a test drive we would consider or at least spread the word??? i even got a brochure in the mail from BMW yesterday advertising 0.9% on all M3s (leftover 2008s).

i have the Alpina and the M3 reserved, i hope its ready for my drive!

I did the one in Roxbury about 3 weeks ago. The people running it were d-bags and bossing everyone around. It was fun even though I didn't get to drive an m3. Did a 135i, 335i, and a 550. I got booted when I "deviated" from the course by stopping off at Dunkin Donuts (which was on the way) ...oops my bad.

i have done this event, and it seems to get worse and worse each year. i really enjoyed the fact that they scheduled the NorthEast this year in the fall? what were they thinking?
