The plan is that it would just plug right in with the same exact connector. Wires and connectors being included with the gauge.

Will map default to a certain one during startup, or will it keep the same map selected previously as with JB3?

It stores your map selection until you change it.... If you select a map, it stays there... start the car, stop the car, unplug the battery, whatever you want to do... next time you start up, it will remember your last settings until you change it again.

This is because I use "non-volitile memory" to store the settings, similar to a solid state hard drive, or "flash" memory... So this will carry over to the procede map switching as well (if you use my gauge to switch the v3)...

I showed this in the video by restarting the car, you can see that it stayed on my selected map
