You'll also save on gas and insurance with the 335i. With a good tune I'm sure it's not much slower than an m3, and the torque it has makes it feel faster than it is as well.

I live in the real world planet where I am not going to consider a $75k car, when I am currently buying a $58k car and debating about buying a $65k car.

The issue is not if they make it or done make it, its $$$.

If you were talking 335i sedan versus M3 Sedan, of course the M3 is the prefered car. (I couldn't afford, so I went with 335i...)

If you're a big modder, get the 335i, if you like to keep your car fairly stock, get the M3.

You are here asking us for our opinion worth $10,000.... you must be poor like the rest of us, so i say Save the money and get 335i

If you were rich, you would'nt ask us. Rich people with $10,000 to burn do not come on blogs/forums asking for opinion.

THEY JUST DO IT!

That is the opinion... and good luck.

why is the rate higher on the 335?

having owned both, I would say go with the m3. depends on your needs though really. the m3 is killer on mpg and not much faster than the 335, especially around town where you won't be redlining it all day. turbos are a blast, but the handling and feel of the 335 can't compare.

also, are you considering that you can likely get a much better deal right now on an 08 m3 than on the 335? You should be able to get the m3 for invoice right now.

So far, I've been offered $500 over invoice on the 08 M3 Coupe. I would love to have this car, however, the 335 may be more practical for me. Until the 09 arrives.. I still have time to think about it. The 08 M3s arent going anywhere.. By that time I might be able to get below invoice!
