The people I talk to complain that it sounds like they're on speaker phone so I do not use it. If I'm parked, I'm more likely to use it but if I'm driving, those I'm talking to can hear the roar in the background. Also, I got tired of repeating myself.
Bluetooth is great for the one in the car but it's a pain if you're on the other end. My boss use to call me from his Acura TL with Bluetooth. I could barely hear what he was saying due to the background noise. I hated being on the other end and now I'm really cautious about that. I'll keep putting my phone to my ear as long as I can.

I have a Iphone 3g and the bluetooth over the speakers works well, but not as well as my HTC 8125.
I do like the fact that I can terminate the bluetooth connection on the iphone 3g and return to using the phone like normal. On my previous phones, I would end up sitting in the car on the phone, even after I got to my destination, because there was no way to terminate the bluetooth connection! |

I find the bluetooth system one of the most used features in the car. I use it many times every day, and really like the way it receives calls. I can opt to either take it or not with a touch of a button and shows the caller ID as well. I'll never have another vehicle without it.

Are You Kidding ?
Works flawlessly with my iPhone. Also, all contacts show up in iDrive.
You would have to be a fool not to use it. Joseph

bluetooth
The bluetooth was the big feature I was looking forward to. The functionality is great as it mutes the music immediately and then resumes after the call. I love the hands off approach. I really like how well the phone pics up the number that you speak out. very accurate.
What bugs me is the complaints I get from some people that it is hard to hear me or very dull. I end up cranking my head towards the center of the car. Part of my feels bad as I hate being on the receiving end of a speaker phone but at the same time, here in Ontario (Canada) it's going to be the law so I'd rather deal with it than not use my phone at all. I wonder if there is a way to yank the microphone out of the center stack and reroute it right into the driver sunvisor?

Bluetooth in the car was not a big selling point for me but having it has become a real convenience. My wife liked it so much I got a bluetooth speaker for her car but it does not have the controls at your fingertips.

I use it all the time. It works very well. Only complaint is that people on the other end can hear certain background noises. Like wind noise while driving on the highway.

One of my favorite features in the car since it is illegal to have the phone up to your ear in CA while driving. I usually plus it int o my car charger and talk so that way the battery doesn't run down. LOVE IT...

Blackberry FTW!!!
Mine works perfectly, I don't like that if I am on a call I have to call them back because once I get in my car and the phone syncs with the bluetooth, you can't hear the caller anymore, other than that
