My car spent nearly 3 years being daily driven in Manhattan/Yonkers and daily driven the rest of the time in Maryland/Virginia, which gets a lot more snow than Charlotte, North Carolina. That E30's front control arms and diff had significant rust on them. And I have a 1997 Z3 Roadster also bought new, which is basically an E30/E36 underneath, daily driven in Maryland between the burbs north of Washington DC to Aberdeen, Maryland, it has nowhere near that level of corrosion.

And typical of BaT, someone half an hour before bid closing jumps the price by $3,500 from $11,500 to $15,000 but then doesn't bid afterwards to when the bidding when from $15,000 to $15,750 in $250 increments? If you can jump the price $3,500 well in advance of the closing time, you can certainly go another $1,000 to win the car. Again, BaT bidding BS.
I didn`t pay close attention to all the pictures. I saw that it had been repainted in the original color in 2005, and the interior, engine bay, trunk and undercarriage looked very clean to me compared to some other E30s I`ve seen on BaT in the past. Honestly, I thought it was in very good condition for a 35 year old E30, but I never owned one before, so I don`t know exactly what to look for when it comes to a good condition E30.

It`s hard to get a good deal on BaT. I bid on a few cars before, but when you factor in shipping and BaT fees, the price always ended up being higher than similar cars listed on AutoTrader, etc.

Yeah, I also noticed a lot of monkey business with the bidding on BaT.

How are they "the bitcoin of used car dealers"? Your quote, not following what you are talking about.

What you meant to say is they aren't a restoration shop and you disagree with Larry Chen, the person that decided to do a video on them and give them this title? Best I can tell EAG never called themselves this.

Larry's a cool guy, but he's far from an authority on anything other than "wow, I've never seen this before."
